We are pleased to initiate a weeklong series of infographics on “learning taxonomies”, with a daily release. Today's infographic captures widely used learning taxonomies. Learning taxonomies provide a comprehensive framework for expressing a variety of desired student learning outcomes, organized in a hierarchy of increasing complexity. Similar to scientific classifications, they establish a systematic approach to categorizing educational objectives, with a hierarchical focus on gains in the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. Thanks to Saloni Chopra for her assistance in putting it together. #teachingandlearning #facultydevelopment #instructionaldesign

Hi friends, l like to share the mind map teaching pedagogy which was followed during design and analysis of algorithm course hour in class. Students are drawing the Mind map of Algorithmic Problem Solving Fundamentals on the board. Mind mapping helped students to Remember, Retain, and Recall fundamentals more easily. This method helped in organizing thoughts, allowing students to understand and connect different ideas effectively. Students eagerly wrote the concepts on the board and this developed their perspective towards algorithmic problem solving. #snsinstitutions #snsdesignthinkers #designthinking

I had a great time presenting with Kirk Kelly at the SEMM Conferencce organized by Graham Donald and Jennifer Powell While virtual webinars lack the energy that a dimensional human brings to an audience, institutions have to find cost-effective ways to provide professional development for staff. If you weren’t in attendance… * You missed my terrible use of generative AI to create images and format slides - human skills are important and still need refining. * Song titles can make excellent slide headings. * Student recruitment is a complicated space - with 10,000s of applicants and 100s of interactions - there are billions of possible unique journeys. Identifying the major points of influence and prioritizing development takes research and time. * Staff time is also a precious commodity - help people prioritize actions that generate results.
