Storms -In Plain Site -South Florida As South Florida is still recovering from the on slaught of torrential rain, and flooding I wonder was the state caught off guard by the outcome, and perhaps underprepared. Florida is certainly accustom to the sessional climatic conditions but seems to have been a surprise, but was actually in plain site. This is perhaps a lesson learned that with changes in world climate, dangerous storms, and cyclones driven from warming waters can suddenly form earlier, and with limited warning. Being personally prepared, and aware for such events will increase safety.and decrease damage. The years Hurricane season began on June 1, and historically those in effected areas have been accustomed to weather systems, and approaching cyclones in August or September. Is emergency response really prepared, as this years Hurricane Season is forecast to be much more active. Are Hotels and businesses fully prepared for possible flooding, and Hurricanes, including employee training, and awareness. Have improvements to prevent flooding, and damage been made post Hurricane Ian. This early seasonal weather system that has effected Florida could be a warning to us all.
