The candidates she recommended were consistently top-notch, and her hiring manager was always pleased with her selections. Her attention to detail ensured that the candidates' resumes were impeccable. However, an issue arose regarding the distinction between "correcting" and "manipulating" CVs. The Situation: Shilpa's hiring manager, Raj, was very particular about the accuracy and detail of the resumes he reviewed. To meet his high standards, Shilpa would often correct minor errors in the candidates' CVs, such as fixing typos, standardizing formats, or clarifying ambiguous job titles, altering employment dates, exaggerating job responsibilities, and adding skills that candidates had not claimed.
