Preliminary results of a real-world study presented during the 2024 #ASCO #GICancer Symposium, indicate that surufatinib, a small-molecule inhibitor, has shown satisfactory clinical effectiveness and favorable safety profiles when used as monotherapy for patients with #BiliaryTractCancer (BTC) in the second-line setting. The study results, which were recently published in #Cholangiocarcinoma News, an Amplity Health publication, indicate that #surufatinib may be a beneficial therapy for patients with BTC yielding promising efficacy and manageable toxicity. Compression is the most important component of complete decongestive therapy (CDT), but there is no standard best method for applying compression. A clinical study evaluated the comparative efficacy of conventional multilayer short-stretch bandaging, and a Velcro adjustable compression wrap in the active CDT period of patients with lower primary and secondary limb lymphedema. The results showed that the use of adjustable compression Velcro-wrap is promising and can be a comfortable alternative to the conventional multilayer bandages in the active treatment phase of the CDT. We know that the foveal avascular zone (FAZ) is enlarged in #diabetes compared to normal patients (see photo).
