So soon, Day 5 of the #medstudentlinkedintribe challenge is here🥳🥳🥳 🏵Challenge Day 5 : Any book, conference or person whose insights, counsel ot teaching has changed your life and mindset. 😍A Game-Changer in My Journey😍 As a medical student, I've encountered my fair share of influential books, conferences, and individuals who've helped shape my perspective on medicine and life, in general. However, one author who's left a lasting impression on me is *R.J. Palacio*, the mastermind behind the heartwarming novel "Wonder". I stumbled upon this book, and I loved it! "Wonder" tells the story of Auggie Pullman, a 10-year-old boy with a rare facial deformity, and his quest to find acceptance and belonging but faces bullying, teasing and struggles to fit in🥲 Reading this book reminded me that, as a doctor, I'm not just treating medical conditions, but also dealing with the emotional and social implications that come with them. It's taught me to be more empathetic, kind, and understanding – and to always consider the impact of my words and actions. This novel has inspired me to create a more welcoming environment for all people I come across, because you may never know who needs that🙂 If you're a fellow healthcare professional or just someone who loves a good book, I highly recommend reading this book. Be prepared for a thought-provoking and emotional journey through this book that will challenge your perspectives and inspire your practice.😉 #medstudentlinkedintribe #mslt #consistencychallengewithdrlinkedin
