🔥 Let's talk about color! 💡 Color is a visual perception of how light is reflected on surfaces and how our eye interprets this reflection. Every color has Saturation and Value, the first one tells us how much intensity the color has while the second one tells us how much light it absorbs to reflect creating a darker or lighter color. 👨🏫 In color theory, black is a color that absorbs light so it doesn't reflect much light while white color reflects more light. ⁉ How can we apply this to our texturing? 🔥 I recently found a quick trick to create procedural color for our materials, where we choose one uniform color but after it, we create changes in its value using masks. This way we create details in our base color allowing any user to change the color easily without losing that detail! 🎇 If you need help learning material art, Join our free Material Art community and sharpen your skills! https://lnkd.in/e68_9CbW #3d #vfx #texturing #TextureArtist #3dtexturing #digitalartist #inspiration #substance3ddesigner #3dartist #gameartist #render #gameart #3dsubstancedesigner #adobe #3dartist #gameart #quixel #Bridge #QuixelBridge #epicgames #houdini
