Last week, I was discussing what it truly means to be a leader with a peer, and I shared that one of my favorite aspects of leadership is that it's really just about setting up your team for success. In my current role, I see myself as a "Journeyman quarterback"—I'm not really all that impressive, but I know how to get the ball efficiently to my playmakers. When I do that, we all win together. #SimplifiedLeadership #LeadershipDevelopment #PeopleDevelopment

It’s football season, so we would like to use a little football analogy for business leaders, as we are approaching the year's final months. In football, the "red zone" - the last 20 yards before the end zone - is where games are won or lost. In business, your red zone is where potential converts to results. But here's the catch: just like in football, the tactics that got you to the red zone aren't always the ones that score. This quarter, identify your red zones. Where are your points of highest leverage? Then, drill your team on red zone plays - those critical actions that convert opportunity into success. Remember, in the red zone, precision trumps power, and if you need help from some seasoned coaches, reach out. We’re happy to help. What's your red zone playbook? #RedZoneStrategy #ExecutionExcellence #Leadership #FootballWisdom #LeadershipDevelopment #BraveLeadershipGroup

A good leader builds belief and confidence in their team. Check out the moving sport v business analogy shared by Best Companies today. A great football coach/manager isn't on the pitch co-ordinating how the team need to play, they are in the changing room exploring strategies and understanding what every player needs to be their best. #leadership #belief #confidence
If you only listen to one thing today, it should be this 💡 Pin drop silence when Charlie Blakemore, CEO of Intercity explained the synergies he has found between coaching a football team and working in a business. Change is going to happen. It comes about either by external forces to which you have to respond, or internal forces that you create. Either way, leaders have to become the change. Handy, by the way, if you always have a resilient, responsive and safe environment for change to land in. (More like catching an egg, less like getting hit in the face by a baseball). #leaderscapes #leadershipdevelopment #paradigmshift

How fitting that the day after President's Day is National Leadership Day. There are many types of leaders.....for me, I find the most effective leaders to those that are humble. See below a recent example from the world of sports and my favorite baseball team. What are some examples you can think of? #Humbleleadership #NationalLeadershipDay #JAMEConsulting
