Last week was Art Week in Miami and i visited some of the art and design shows. Art Basel, Design Miami and Red dot/ Spectrum Miami. Trends in design according to Design Miami/ 1. Resin , resin and more resin. Tables, upholstery furniture and installation using resing as bonding medium 2. Pantone 2024 : Palette forward looking the decor world. 3. Wood and ratam: Panels, furniture and sculptures. Natural elements are shown raw, or pure. 4. Ethnic unique elements Authenticity and culture are part of the identity of the design and designers are not afraid any more To be authentic. 5. Unexpected application of typical materials Felt layering furniture? Oh ill take it. Thoughts? Do you follow trends or stick to the basics?

When you restore and restyle vintage furniture, it’s never about ticking boxes. Every piece is different, it responds in a different way, is of a different style and is recreated for a different client, each with their own very specific and distinctive requirements.
