I am extremely delighted to share that I will be continuing my training at Turner & Townsend for another term! To be a part of a team where your opinion is valued, efforts are appreciated, work is reviewed, experience is elevated, ideas are supported & you are given every opportunity to take responsibility & center-stage for your endeavors is a true blessing. Kat, I'm glad that the feeling is mutual & the team feels I can add my own value here. This post by Kat essentially covers areas of work, high profile clients & extraordinary teams I have been involved with. I have delved in some exciting construction projects, training & strategy programs, digital transformation work for PMO operations in the last term. If I have to objectively share 3 top achievements from the last 3 months, they'll be: 1. Developed a PMO Website for a reputed Life Sciences Firm's multi-million dollar program. In a short period, I could build a digital platform that streamlined communication & collaboration among key stakeholders. This ensured real-time access to action & risk logs, schedules & PMP, while also centralizing RFIs, permits, audits & punch lists—which would allow for improved QA/QC procedures. The document structure efficiently organized 1000s of project folders into workstreams, enhancing cloud-based data access & authorization control. This initiative optimizes efficiency & collaboration for any complex project. 2. Developed change control & payment requisition governance process flow templates, to become a part of the already strong core process template repository of the PA team for direct application to a larger project portfolio- Allowing operational excellence through process optimization & best practices for standard care. 3. Played a key role in aiding the fast-paced development of a large Public Organization's training strategy program with some of the best scholar-practitioners in the Project Management, Vendor-Contract Management, Stakeholder Engagement & Scheduling. This program involved at-least 140 Construction Project Managers. I had an opportunity to directly engage with clients in both my projects training me to best represent their motives & T&T's interests. These are my personal developments just as much as institutional developments. Thanks to Robert, I was never given a detailed assignment; always just a problem to solve! This helped me understand my creative capabilities, my strong background in construction, management instincts & project representation skills. I must appreciate the leadership for their interest in wearing the most innovative hats & adopting latest digital technology to foster more efficient Project Management & Project Control Strategies for Construction & Infrastructure projects. As I am excited for more, I definitely can conclude an over-all fantastic & very diverse summer training. Thank you for warmly adding me to the family Rob, Kat, Tara, Henry, Barbara, Yvonne, Glendy, CHIKA! #internship #construction

💡 RMIT Open Doors Melbourne - Micro Internship with IWN & VicWater Yesterday 12 talented RMIT University students hailing from diverse disciplines embarked on a unique journey hosted by Intelligent Water Networks (IWN) and VicWater at the VicWater offices. Their destination? The realm of micro internships, a pivotal element of the Stand Ready – Industry Unlocked stream of #RMITOpenDoorsMelb. With a mission to bridge the gap between classroom insights and real-world applications, these budding innovators set their minds into the captivating universe of industry challenges. Guided by our IWN Program Director, Jason Cotton and VicWater’s CEO Jo Lim, they rolled up their sleeves, brainstormed, and weaved innovative solutions to meet the challenge given to them in the morning. The group had only had a couple of hours to develop and present back to the IWN and VicWater team. The challenge set before them is one that resonates deeply with our industry: "How might we reduce residential water use in Melbourne?" A thought-provoking question that reflects the urgency of sustainable resource management and the critical role that young visionaries play in shaping our future. The team set to work, efficiently and effectively collaborated to present some fantastic solutions and innovative opportunities that we will be able to share with our members. Thank you to #RMITOpenDoorsMelb and the outstanding work ethic, enthusiasm and outcome achieved by all those who attended yesterday’s session! We believe that real growth happens when theory meets practice, and programs like RMIT Open Doors Melbourne is a platform where these transformations unfold. It's not just about finding answers, but also about nurturing a mindset that thrives on #curiosity, #collaboration, and #continuouslearning. #commonpurpose #rmitglobal #rmitopendoorsmelb #MicroInternshipMagic #InnovateWithPurpose #SustainabilityMatters Raghav Goswami, Aishwarya Bhardwaz, Zachary Mether, Baiqian (Luke) Shi, Nikhil Rambarath, Kristine Co, Michelle Marinelli

We had another intern! Ashvin is a year 10 GCSE Geography student who dedicated 4 days of his half term to learn about sustainability and spend time with the KLH team. Being his first internship, Ashvin had no idea what was in store for him, although he had heard about sustainability since Year 3, he wanted to expand his knowledge on the subject and of course we were on board when he reached out to us. When asked to describe his experience with KLH, Ashvin said: - “When KLH’s phone number flashed up on the screen when googling “sustainability”, I couldn’t help but to call them. I was already aware of a few buzzwords related to the subject from both the media and school, but it was at KLH that I was exposed to a variety of technical terms. Despite the relaxed atmosphere, you would be surprised by how much gets done. I had the pleasure of sitting in on a few meetings, and although I unfortunately could not contribute, I did however fully appreciate how intelligent everyone was, and more importantly, how they made sure everyone’s voice was heard, eloquently expressing their ideas throughout. The balance between creativity and analytical thinking at KLH is so unique to the sustainability sector: only two days after creating a sketch of a site for Lizzy Pettitt, I found myself working through calculations for Borja Bustamante Mediavilla and Bhawana Chaudhary. The meetings with the directors were true highlights, with their unique perspectives leading to insightful conversations. - I felt welcome and part of the team, and I learned so much in these few days, both about sustainability and my fellow KLHers, even managing to have a bit of fun whilst doing it.” If you are interested in in joining our internship program, keep an eye on our page as we will be sharing some exciting news soon! 😊 #sustainability #internshipprogram #creativity #summerinternship #intern
