As the countdown to one of Africa’s biggest football tournaments, TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (“CHAN”), begins, it’s disheartening to see the hosts (Kenya specifically) still racing to complete stadium infrastructure. While this is concerning, what’s even more alarming is the lack of attention to other critical aspects: ✅ Human Resources: Who will ensure the seamless running of the event? Are the staff and volunteers adequately trained? ✅ Risk Management: Where are the contingency plans? Safety and security drills? How prepared are we to handle emergencies? ✅ Operational Readiness: Beyond the physical infrastructure, is the entire ecosystem—ticketing, transport, accommodation, healthcare—ready to support this massive undertaking?
