Excited to share our latest publication in #npjBreastCancer! 🎉 In this GIM study, we investigated clinico-pathological predictors of radiologic complete response to first-line anti-HER2 therapy in HER2-positive metastatic breast cancer. Our findings highlight key factors, such as HER2 IHC 3+ expression, non-visceral metastases, and limited metastatic sites, that are associated with higher chances of achieving a durable response. Many thanks to @Linda Cucciniello and the other co-authors from the GIM group for their invaluable contributions to the success of this work 🔗 Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/d2CwnUV3 Lucia Del Mastro Eva Blondeaux Claudia Bighin Alessandra Fabi Filippo Montemurro Michelino De Laurentiis Lorenzo Gerratana Grazia Arpino #BreastCancer #HER2Positive #OncologyResearch #PersonalizedMedicine #Teamwork #GIM

We have just published our study on early onset mCRC in Australia suggesting reduction in the screening age for colorectal cancer, as is being pursued in some jurisdictions, is an appropriate response to current trends. Annual screenings are crucial for early detection. The presence of a painless lump is the most common physical sign of breast cancer, but by the time a lump can be felt, the breast cancer may be advanced. October is #BreastCancerAwareness Month! There are several methods available for breast cancer screening, with digital mammography being the most common. However, not all patients benefit equally from early detection through mammograms, and some may require more advanced screening. It is essential for patients to be aware of factors that could influence their choice of screening exams to make informed decisions before undergoing breast cancer screening.
