On the work floor, you don’t want to be missing the items you need for your daily tasks. The diverse and extensive Fabory assortment makes advanced material consumption forecasting crucial. In making a forecast, we look at past consumption and calculate future usage. 🤓 We do this with the Slim4 platform. 💻 This way, we eliminate waste, increase availability, reduce supply chain costs, and limit risks. Standard stock items are always available this way. Until recently, keeping track of customer-specific inventory was done manually via Excel. Now that we also monitor these items via Slim4, we are able to work even more efficiently. The program not only looks at past consumption but also calculates future usage. This is based on factors such as suppliers, lead times, product scarcity, logistics, and transport. If the consumption need on the work floor decreases, the purchase is made later in the year. If the need increases, the purchase is brought forward. This way, a customer never has too many or too few items on the shelf. 👌 We discuss the customer-specific inventory with the client every quarter and adjust it as needed in consultation. 🤝 This ensures you can always keep working without the risk of a production stop.
