Helping Build Healthier Organisations & Stronger Teams // Change // Transformation // Agility // Resilience
You don’t need trust to start a high-performing team, but good luck building one without it. "It’s the difference between a team that shows up and one that delivers." I’ve been in plenty of teams, but this one stood out. We were packed into a tiny glass cube in the big smoke and introduced to the Rapport Triangle. Lack of air wasn’t our only discomfort. We got real about where we were and where we needed to be. Climbing the pyramid wasn’t easy, but here’s what got us to the top. ↳ We Were Honest ↳ We Were in Sync ↳ We Argued like Grown-ups ↳ We Sorted out Issues Fast ↳ We Stayed Transparent ↳ We Celebrated the Wins: ↳ We Moved as One ↳ We Backed Each Other up ↳ We Had a Laugh We didn’t stay perfect, but we stayed at the peak more often than not. When trust is strong, you keep coming back to the top. Michael Durkin might not love the accolades, but his leadership (and a good dose of personality and humour) made the difference. The result a top team that clicked! Watching him lead was more than inspiring, it was a lesson in how it’s done. High-performing teams are built on trust, psychological safety, and knowing someone’s always got your back. What do you do to hit peak rapport? #Leadership #HighPerformingTeams #Trust

You don't always have to be the lead dog to make a difference! In fact, being a working employee is better than being an out-of-work professional. Most great achievers will tell you they couldn't have done it alone; they needed the contributions of each team member. So, if your leader has placed you in a supporting role today, accept it without complaining and do your part to make the entire team stronger. Not only will you learn all about team spirit, but you'll also learn the virtue of humility. Remember, it's not about the greatness of the part you've been given, it's about how much effort you put into doing it. So, put your heart into your part and contribute from wherever you are today. You've been recognized for your particular strengths and talents, and the team needs them! Learn to fulfill your role with gratitude and dignity, and who knows? You might just be the next lead dog in the future. #team #leadershipmindset

Looking back on the journey that brought me here, I owe a lot to my dad. His belief in "working your way up" isn't just a motto; it's a principle I carry every day. As the Managing Director at Tap'in, I've held onto this core value. Being an MD doesn't exempt me from getting my hands dirty. There's an irreplaceable value in being hands-on, diving into every facet of the business. Titles don't make jobs 'too good' for anyone, and that includes directors. This mindset permeates through our team and defines our operations. I'm not just guiding from above; I'm down in the trenches, understanding challenges, finding solutions, and celebrating successes alongside the team. My dad's words instilled in me humility, the essence of hard work, and the appreciation for experience. They've been the guiding light in shaping my work ethic and leadership style. Navigating the dynamic world of logistics and the drinks industry, I'm grateful for the foundation set by my dad. It's a principle I proudly uphold, fostering a culture of collaboration and remaining a hands-on MD every step of the way. What's your take on being a hands-on leader? #careerreflection #businessjourney #leadership

𝘍*𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘥 𝘶𝘱 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘺, our way of embracing failure, together with our extended leadership team at this unconventional work party that we held recently! From failed projects to missed deadlines, we celebrated the courage to take risks and the lessons learned. And we plan to do this more often, to speak openly about what we learn from things that go wrong and to reassure colleagues that it’s ok to fail as part of the journey to success. #Culture #GrowthMindset #FailureIsLearning

Having the “Underdog Advantage” In every organization, there are the big names, the loud voices, and the stars who shine brightly in every meeting. And then, there are the underdogs. The ones who quietly get things done behind the scenes, solve the problems no one else sees, and drive the results without always getting the recognition. Being the underdog isn’t always glamorous. It’s not about being in the spotlight, but about having the resilience, the dedication, and the grit to push forward even when you’re overlooked. It’s about staying focused on the bigger picture, delivering consistently, and letting the results speak for themselves. Sometimes, it’s the ones working in the background who are making the most impact. So to all the underdogs out there—keep going. Your work matters. The right people will notice eventually, and until then, trust in your ability to make things happen. #Underdog #Resilience #Leadership #ResultsDriven #CareerGrowth
