Founder and Group CEO, Moniepoint Inc

Three weeks ago, at the Financial Alliance for Women Conference, I discussed how Moniepoint Group supports women entrepreneurs with our Working Capital Loans product. At Moniepoint, we’ve structured this credit product to eliminate biases and created opportunities to empower women entrepreneurs with access to critical funding. I’m glad to share that Moniepoint has joined the Financial Alliance for Women initiative, a network of financial organisations championing the growth of the global female economy. Hats off to Inez Murray, CEO of the Financial Alliance for Women, for her leadership and vision in this initiative. Oh, and there’s something for you here. Alongside HSBC, we’re collaborating to host a Hackathon Titled: Alliance Hack—Shaping Economies through Gender-Intelligent Fintech— holding from July 18 to August 1. For a $25,000 grant, fintech teams will compete to develop scalable solutions that solve one of the following key challenges for the female economy: Financing women-owned/led formal businesses, Building the business capability of female entrepreneurs, Transforming mass-market women’s investment capabilities, and Greening the CVP for women. I will be joining the Hackathon as a judge, and I look forward to reviewing the exciting applications from fintech teams based in Africa. Click the link to apply before July 14, 2024. https://lnkd.in/dzJZraw7
