Dystopian Novel, It’s A (Wo)Man’s World By Stella Beake, Sees The End Of Patriarchal Society And A World Where Women Are Finally On Top On The Table Read Magazine, “the best book magazine in the UK“, set in 2040, It’s a Wo(Mans) World by Stella Beake sees men relegated to second-class citizens and the Cooperative Feminist World Order is in control. It’s A (Wo)Man’s World It’s a (Wo)man’s World by Stella Beake turns the tables on every aspect of a millennia of male dominance with a thought-provoking premise lingers long after the final page. The year is 2040, and it’s a woman’s world. Following the overturn of Roe vs Wade in 2022, women the world over rose up in anger at the lack of progress – and indeed, the regression – of women’s rights. They fought back through non-violent means, and coordinated voting processes, and within a few short years, the Cooperative Feminist World Order was born. The world changed for the better: wars ended, wealth was redistributed, and the environment was treated with greater respect. But the world is not such a great place for men and boys anymore. Within this world, both women and men fight in secret for male equality. Emmy is a high-level politician within the Cooperative Feminist World Order, but her secret life involves working for the Mascgettes, the organisation dedicated to bringing an end to male oppression. As she recruits her lodger, Marcus, into the fight, she discovers secrets of her past, and learns about what the future will bring. #bookrecommendations #bookpromotion #dystopia #dystopian #dystopiannovel #feminist #feminism #thefutureisfemale #roevswade #womansworld #misogyny #inequality READ MORE NOW https://lnkd.in/evkj-6HE

#Leadership #Quotes January 17, 2025: I desire you would remember the ladies and be more generous and favorable to them than your ancestors." - Abigail Adams, in a letter to her husband John Adams, 1776. This quote from Abigail Adams reflects her advocacy for women's rights and her foresight in recognizing the need for gender equality in the new nation's laws. "If particular care and attention is not paid to the ladies, we are determined to foment a rebellion, and will not hold ourselves bound by any laws in which we have no voice or representation." - Abigail Adams, also from her famous letter to John Adams, 1776. Here, Abigail Adams expresses a strong call for women's inclusion in legislative matters, highlighting the revolutionary spirit among women for political rights. "Do not put such unlimited power into the hands of the husbands. Remember, all men would be tyrants if they could." - Abigail Adams, again from her letters, emphasizing the need for checks on male authority in marriage and society. This quote illustrates her awareness of the potential for tyranny in personal governance. "I most sincerely wish that some more liberal plan might be laid and executed for the benefit of the rising generation...If we mean to have heroes, statesmen and philosophers, we should have learned women." - Abigail Adams, in another context, pushing for education for women, which she believed was crucial for societal advancement. This shows her vision for a society where women are educated and contribute to leadership. "If we mean to have heroes, statesmen and philosophers, we should have learned women." - Abigail Adams, highlighting the necessity of educated women for the betterment of society, in line with her advocacy for education as a foundation for leadership. These quotes, primarily from Abigail Adams, provide a glimpse into the thinking of some of the most influential women of the late 18th century, focusing on the themes of equality, education, and the assertion of women's roles in a new democratic society

Today marks a pivotal moment for women in leadership. It's our chance to elect a Black woman of South Asian descent as our first female president. This isn’t just about achieving gender parity in our highest office; it’s about redefining what leadership looks like in America. The outcome of this election will shape our country for not just the next four years but the next 40, seeding the advancement (or retraction) of pro-women policies. Kamala Harris’s campaign launch was a rallying call for many women that may fundamentally change how we engage with civic life. Over the past year, I've seen an extraordinary surge of women executives stepping up, many energized to work for Harris and other candidates for the first time. Some have said, “We don’t want this work to end.” This moment calls on all women leaders to use our resources and influence to help secure our country’s future—no matter today's outcome. Because the opportunity to advance the issues we care about most (things like reproductive freedom, equality, education, and the planet) will only compound after Election Day. It's why we've worked so hard at Moving the Needle to help women take action on the election in the most impactful ways. And why we'll continue to connect and support women executives in creating meaningful change, well after the votes are counted.
