**The Power of Parental Love and Affection** - Keeping your children close to you, both physically and emotionally, strengthens the bond that makes them feel safe and loved. - When children feel your affection, they are less likely to stray far and make major mistakes. - It’s not rejection, but a lack of love and warmth that pushes them away and leads to separation. - If you want your children to be grounded in principles and values, you must teach them with love and lead by example. - Loving and nurturing them not only instills obedience but also fosters unity and trust within the family. 💬 **Question**: How do you show love and affection to your children to keep them close to you? **Hashtags**: #ParentingWithLove #FamilyBond #RaisingKidsRight #ParentingTips #ChildrenAndLove

“If you’ve been a parent, you know the highs of it and the joys of it and the lows and the frustrations of it. The Strength-based approach is starting with what’s working really well for your family and every family can be different and from that we build on those strengths you already have and what can be helpful as you go forward. No matter how much money you have or what your circumstances are, we all need support. ” -Kelli Tourgee, Home Visitor and Parenting Educator, The River Center What are your family’s strengths? Tuesday Thoughts: Encourage your children (ages 10 and up) to be strong and self-reliant, allowing them to face challenges at school, home, or with friends. Over-involvement and excessive protection can lead to us taking over their responsibilities, which often results in the children being excluded from the situation as soon as we intervene. Instead, teach your child to solve problems and consider ways to prevent negative situations. The greater their involvement, the more they improve. Overshadowing our children can inadvertently lead to them being sidelined, which may not be beneficial for their development. Children need to comprehend the circumstances that lead to certain situations and learn how to navigate them. As parents, our instinct is to shield our children; however, it's vital to consider whether this protection will ultimately strengthen or weaken them in the long run. Celebrate Motherhood, Celebrate Friendship! Have a lovely Tuesday!

Motherhood should be viewed as a relationship, not a role. When we think of motherhood as a role, it comes with a never-ending list of things we are supposed to do in order to be a good mom. Relationships, on the other hand, allow you to be your authentic self. After all, our children don’t need perfect moms; they need moms who connect with them and support them. #motherhoodisarelationship™️ #drjuliehanks #motherhood #lds #latterdaysaints #tedx #tedtalks #tedtalk #mormon #motherhoodisarelationshipnotarole™️

Happy National Siblings Day! 🎉 As older siblings adapt to new norms, parents can foster a supportive environment by acknowledging their feelings of adjustment and reassuring them of their unique role in the family. Anticipatory guidance is recommended to help parents adequately prepare their older child for the arrival of a new sibling. Encouraging open communication, celebrating individual achievements, and emphasizing the value of sibling bonds can help minimize feelings of jealousy and foster a nurturing atmosphere for all.
