𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐭 2: 𝐇𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐥 𝐦𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐠 𝐠𝐚𝐲𝐚 𝐡𝐮, 𝐚𝐮𝐫 𝐲𝐞𝐡 𝐏𝐑 𝐛𝐡𝐢 𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐫 𝐤𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐢! 🇨🇦 𝐀𝐛 𝐭𝐨𝐡 𝐏𝐑 𝐡𝐨 𝐣𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐠𝐢, 𝐩𝐚𝐫 𝐲𝐞𝐡 𝐤𝐲𝐚 𝐡𝐨𝐠𝐚𝐲𝐚!! 😲 When I was studying in college and trying to figure out everything about PR, I was clueless because there were so many different suggestions and they varied from person to person. My only goal at that time was to get PR as soon as possible. I didn’t want to wait even two full years in college, so I completed it in 1.5 years. Yeah, that much desperate. 😅 I got a front desk job at a hotel. They had this policy where you had to be in the front desk position to apply for PR. I felt lucky that I got the job even while I was in college. Now it would be easier for me to achieve my goals as soon as I graduated. So, I focused on my studies. 📚 I wasn’t paying attention to the management politics going on at that time. The General Manager hired a girl from another city and told her that she would sponsor her PR. On this belief, she left her education and took a one-year certificate course. She started working as a housekeeping manager. They didn’t hire her as a front desk personnel because they were in dire need of a housekeeping manager. She wasn’t aware of the policy that she had to be in the front desk position if she wanted to apply for PR. That was the first red flag she should have noticed. She never asked to change her position even after becoming aware of this situation. After six months, when she asked for the LMIA documents from the GM, which were promised to her, the GM straight away said NO to her. She was shattered and started crying because she had already wasted six months out of her one-year work permit. 😢 She wanted to leave right away and look for other options. She asked for a letter of experience. The GM said, "Give us one month's notice and get your letter of experience." Her time in Canada was already very limited, and on top of that, this GM was being stubborn. 😡 After all this happened, I left that job as well. If the GM was being adamant about providing documents to this manager, she would never listen to me in case of an emergency. That was the best decision I made towards my PR. While we were applying for PR, a friend of mine kept saying, "Career is a priority, and we should think about getting better jobs instead of thinking about PR." He was miserably wrong.
