I found this article really interesting. for my Canadian friends, the survey is American based, but still relevant. For both the small businesses that are so vital to the economy and across this land, and the bigger institutions and corporations which are viewed more negatively, I have to ask, when was the last time you took a close look at the wellbeing of your brand and what is it telling people? Why is the wellbeing of your brand so important? ➡ Your brand is not your product you sell, and it's not your logo. Your brand is all encompassing and is the overall feelings and experiences people have when they think about you. ➡ A brand is one of an organization's most important assets that builds your internal purpose and culture which then gives those outside your organization a bigger purpose and meaning when it comes to your brand. ➡ Your brand goes beyond what you do and defines who you are and what you stand for. You have to be really clear on what you want the public to know about your brand. And then be ready to live up to that every day. To be part of a brand, is to be part of something bigger. ➡ Your brand identity (made up of many elements such as your logo, colours, positioning etc) are the elements that help people identify and connect with your brand.
