At Ellenhorn, we're proud to share insights on the vital role of self-efficacy in our innovative approach to treatment. In our latest blog post, we explore the common thread that binds wilderness programs and our mission: empowering clients to build greater self-belief. Check out our blog to learn why self-efficacy is a cornerstone in our clients' growth and recovery, focusing on two crucial areas: engagement in treatment and the power of hope. We delve into how our unique model, the Program for Assertive Community Treatment, distinguishes us in serving individuals resistant to traditional methods. Only one month left to submit your most inspiring practices, projects, or public policies in the field of homelessness! So, get writing, fill out the attached form, and share this post widely: 🔗 https://bit.ly/3wQFBa6 1️⃣2️⃣ practices will be selected by a dedicated Expert Committee and then compiled into a compendium to be published next year. These will be distributed to EPOCH members and more broadly to all homelessness stakeholders who collaborate with EPOCH Practice, to inspire and transform public homelessness policies across Europe. We are missing effective and innovative public policy proposals, as well as projects and practices from Central or Eastern Europe. 🤫

From our work at the Inner North Community Foundation, we are aware that end of life is difficult for people, and not everyone knows exactly what to do about it. ‘Leave a Legacy, Not a Mess’ is a community resource to help people make it easier for their family and friends to manage their estate when they die. It consists of a list of things people could consider doing now to tidy up their estate and avoid the often difficult issues which arise for those left behind. In consultation with our community, we have developed this checklist. https://lnkd.in/gXJqeNHa Learn more https://bitly.cx/ef4Rl

Sharing a great new free resource developed by the Inner North Community Foundation, for proactively planning for your future legacy. I can vouch for the usefulness of this simple tool, and the careful thought that's gone into it, as I'm lucky enough to sit on the Foundation's Board. See link below. Or if you live, work or play in the Merri-bek City Council, Yarra City Council, or Darebin City Council areas, and would prefer a hard copy, please drop me or Ben Rodgers a note. Why does Your Own Place exist? The answer to this question is as prevalent now as when we were founded in 2013. Your Own Place was borne from recognising that many people struggle to navigate the complex challenges of housing, finance, and tenancy sustainment. The increasing cost of living and strain on support services means that more people than ever are facing hardship and homelessness. Our workshops build financial literacy, tenancy knowledge, and life skills by promoting resilience and empowering individuals to find their own solutions. By addressing both the immediate tenancy challenges and long-term social mobility issues, it is possible to prevent homelessness and ensure everyone has the opportunity for a safe and secure home.
