Here’s how big brands like Nike, Starbucks, and McDonald's’s are using this powerful branding rule to capture their audience’s attention and make their messages stick - What is that powerful branding rule? “Rule of 3” - Using this rule can help create a strong brand identity! This rule says you should do everything for your brand in threes. 1. Make your slogan 3 words Big brands like The Coca-Cola Company, Nike, and KFC use three-word slogans. For example: ↪ Coca-Cola’s - Taste the Feeling ↪ Nike's - Just Do It ↪ Mastercard’s - Your flexible friend ↪ McDonald’s - I’m lovin’ it ↪ KFC’s - Finger lickin’ good 2. Give 3 pricing options Make the middle option the most appealing - the decoy effect. What is a decoy effect? The decoy effect is a clever marketing trick that guides people to choose between 2 options by adding a third one. This extra option, called the "decoy," is priced in a way that makes one of the original options seem better. The decoy is not intended to sell, but to nudge consumers away from the other options. Established brands like IKEA, Starbucks, etc are using this clever decoy effect to massively boost their sales and revenue. 3. Use 3 colors in your logo Many famous brands like Flipkart, Amazon, McDonald's, and PepsiCo do this. Their logos have 3 colors. This is because our brains find patterns of three easy to remember. This rule is effective because our brains naturally prefer patterns, making it easier for us to process and retain information when presented in threes. When you use the “Rule of 3” consistently, people will remember your brand for a long time. They'll know your slogan, pricing, and logo colors. So use the “Rule of 3” in your branding: ➡ Make your slogan 3 words ➡ Offer 3 pricing levels ➡ Use 3 colors in your logo Your brand will be powerful and unforgettable. Are you using this rule of 3 to make your brand memorable? #brandingstrategy #marketingtips

🐮💛Curious about All Things Butter's marketing strategy? Uncover the impact of exclusive merch in cultivating a devoted community. Here's what Co-founder Toby Hoppy had to say about our collaboration: "When launching All Things Butter, core to our strategy has been to build brand equity, through UGC and word of mouth. Creating memorable merchandise has been a key way we’ve been able to do that. Custom T Shirts from Clothes2order were a big part of a successful launch that helped us sell over 100,000 blocks of butter in the first 9 weeks! For our merch to meet our goals, it had to be in line with our branding….. Stand out, disruptive and of the highest quality. We wanted t shirts our customers would love to wear and rave about, not end up in the back of wardrobes or even worse landfill. To achieve this, Clothes2order were able to help us find the perfect oversized t shirts, made sustainability and styled in line with the latest trends our target market would appreciate. We went for an oversized print to match the oversized tees, ensuring the design itself was standout. Only Clothes2order could achieve the quality of print we were looking for and turn it around in time to meet our tight deadlines for launches and marketing events. Thanks team C2O for helping make our launch a success and giving our customers merch to moo about!" It increases brand visibility and reinforces brand recognition among potential customers, partners, and peers. 📌Community building: Offering the company's merch can cultivate a sense of belonging among peers and customers. It can create an emotional connection with the brand, fostering a sense of community amongst each other. 📌Marketing synergy: Merchandise can complement marketing efforts. It can be used in promotions, as part of social media campaigns, or even partnerships, creating a cohesive marketing strategy across various platforms. 📌Streams of revenue: The Company's merch can be a significant source of opening up new revenue channels beyond its products and services. Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) @ MAG⚡️ | Working alongside great brands, great people, and having a great time doing it.
I am a big fan of weekly store walk throughs. I love seeing category evolution, new challenger brands popping up, and merchandising trends. There is always so much to take in, but some brands really deserve a shout out for their innovation in packaging, design, and willingness to challenge incumbent, large brands. This week I walked every aisle of Target...here is what I saw: GOODLES - The pasta aisle is...boring. Goodles has taken pasta packaging to the next level with bold colors and amazing product photography to capture shopper's attention. Amazing to see a brand innovating in this space! Sour Strips - This brand has taken over Target's candy aisle, pushing aside "the big guys" and capturing dozens of facings over the past few months. In a category that is overflowing with "me too" items, this brand came in and with the power of social media captured customer's basket share and has firmly planted it's roots. Plus, the packaging allows you to reseal the bag...why don't most candy companies offer this? biom - It is rare that something captures my attention and piques my interest enough to actually make it into my cart, but I bought a biom for every bathroom. Super sleek packaging, innovative design, and I love their mission. Real Good Foods - The consistency of this brand's packaging across every category they sell in is something I really appreciate. No matter where you see the brand, the look, feel, and imagery has a purposeful continuity that helps customers immediately recognize it. Keep the innovation coming ⚡

The Importance of Merchandising. Merchandising stands as a pivotal pillar within the marketing industry, weaving together the art of presentation with the science of consumer behavior. At the heart of any successful marketing strategy, it goes beyond mere product placement and transforms physical and virtual spaces into immersive brand experiences. A well-executed merchandising approach not only captures attention but guides consumer journeys, influencing purchasing decisions through strategic arrangement, compelling storytelling, and visual engagement. In an era where competition is fierce and attention spans fleeting, effective merchandising not only showcases products but conveys brand values, fosters emotional connections, and fosters lasting impressions.
