As we celebrate National Black Authors Day, I am reminded of the importance of literature in showcasing diverse voices and narratives which help to shape our collective consciousness. I am delighted as a Black author to contribute to the narrative with positive representation through works like "Patina's Poetry," a vibrant collection of children's verses infused with affirming representation. I've been privileged to share narratives of resilience and cultural heritage through publications like "Under the Mango Tree" and "Windrush Memoirs."
