Interesting. Whilst solar development on good farmland remains largely unregulated, expect to see a lot more! This map does not show all the solar applications in pre applicator stages or application stages .. 🤯 not does it tell you the quality of good farmland lost to solar panels. (Due to the method of Department for Energy Security and Net Zero reporting) All of this comes within the context that we still await the long promised Land Use Framework. We are losing an equivalent amount of land to bioenergy crops, housing and infrastructure projects. Additionally, the RGV has an abundance of solar and wind renewable energy, which often runs negative rates due to an abundance of power production capabilities without an offtaker. NE3W was developed by NE3T GmbH. The use of this technology in energy-intensive industries such as iron and steel and cement plants is expected to help reduce energy intensity and greenhouse gas emissions. The use of NE3W would help pave the way towards sustainable development and away from fossil fuels. The use of NE3W in areas where water scarcity is a pressing issue would result in a reduction in water consumption and production through condensation of hydrocarbon combustion products. Reducing resource degradation and improving the viability of renewable resources is the main achievement of applying NE3W.
