Navigating the Oil & Gas Industry – A CEO’s Perspective: flexibility As leader with over 27 years in the Oil and Gas industry, flexibility is one of our greatest assets. The ability to adapt not only in operations but in conversations is crucial. One of the key lessons I’ve learned as CEO of Offshore Dimensions Limited is this: Don’t insist on starting a conversation on a topic you had in mind—start where others are focused. Ask yourself: - What is in the news today? - What are my competitors or industry peers talking about? When you engage with what’s relevant, you position yourself and your business as responsive and in touch with the ever-changing landscape of our industry. Sometimes, that means shifting the conversation to meet the moment, whether it’s evolving energy policies, technological advancements, or new market trends. This flexibility allows us to stay ahead of the curve, remain competitive, and foster more meaningful relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders. After all, the best leaders aren’t just the ones who speak—they’re the ones who listen, adapt, and then lead with relevance.
