We are taking a small team into Western NC on the 21st. We are not going there to sell roofs. We are not going to throw tarps for a charge. We are going to clear roads, clear homes, pull out our neighbors, tarp what we can for no charge, and distribute supplies. This is not at a profit. We are not looking to create connections for future work. This isn’t a paid run. I can’t imagine a better team than Ben Spaugh & Dustin Raper to be running with. If you pray, pray for our team and those we come in contact with — and especially all those we won’t make contact with. If you don’t pray, hold our team and all of our mountain folk in your hearts. NC was not prepared for this, but we will respond, and we will rebuild. Our Amazon List — kept small for simplicity— is located here should you feel moved to donate to our trip: https://a.co/7jMd8dH We are also accepting cash donations. Any cash that isn’t used for the trip will be forwarded to Pinnacle SAR. Anything donated needs to be packed and organized on our trucks by the 19th. We are accepting TARP donations locally in Charlotte, Chapel Hill, and the Southern Wake area. If possible, new tarps are preferred since they are packaged to be much more compact than previously used tarps. #westernnc #civilianresponse #ncstrong #aspenstrong

According to Feeding America and the USDA, 13 million children experienced hunger in 2022. PV Power Packs supplies children in my local school district who are food insecure with weekend bags. These weekend bags include two breakfasts, two lunches, two snacks, and two fruits. They also have a few opportunities throughout the summer to supply students with food. August is my birthday month! To celebrate this happy occasion, I am partnering with PV Power Packs. I donate to this initiative not only because it is the right thing to do, but they helped my family when we were in a tight spot. Shortly after we bought our house and moved to the area, my husband was laid off. We were in this between space: did not make enough to make ends meet, yet made too much to qualify for certain aid programs. PV Power Packs helped make sure my child was fed when I wasn't sure where the next meal was coming from. Luckily, we no longer need their services, and I love giving back. You can help multiple ways: 🍎 PV Power Packs provided a wish list for this fundraiser, and there is a donation amount that can fit any budget: https://lnkd.in/eEViwfRN 🍎 Donate a monetary amount via PayPal to donations@pvsd.org, and list PV Power Packs in the description. 🍎 Drop off food at PV Middle School East in the bins during office hours. And if you are wondering: "Besides being for Heather's birthday, why should I donate to this random community? I would rather put money back in my own community." Then do it! Research local food initiatives and food pantries, and give to them. Because the best present for me is one less kid going to bed hungry.

Many of you have asked how you can support the fire recovery efforts in Los Angeles. To provide continued assistance to those affected by the fires, Building Owners and Managers Association Greater Los Angeles is launching the Second Wave Support Donation Drive. This initiative is focused on addressing the ongoing needs of fire victims, after the initial wave of aid has been delivered. As part of this initiative, BOMA/GLA member buildings will host collection boxes in their lobbies, allowing tenants and guests to contribute essential items. Your purchases from the provided list will complement these local efforts, helping extend the drive's reach and impact. How You Can Help 1. Donate Items: We’ve created an Amazon list of needed items that will directly support nonprofits and shelters working with fire victims: https://a.co/d2wFSs7 2. Donate Gift Cards: Gift cards for grocery and pet stores can provide immediate and flexible assistance to families and individuals in need. Gift cards can be mailed directly to the BOMA/GLA Office at 700 S. Flower Street, Suite 590, Los Angeles, CA 90017. 3. Share the Initiative: Please help us expand our reach by sharing this donation drive with your network of colleagues, associations, and communities. Together, we can amplify the impact and provide meaningful support to those in need. Your willingness to help during this time of recovery means so much to BOMA/GLA and the affected communities. By working together, we can ensure that those who have lost so much continue to receive the support they need on their path to recovery.

One of many "proof points" that showcase the partnership and impact Good360 and Amazon have across US communities to extend the lifecycle of product returns.
This #GivingTuesday, we're spotlighting how Amazon's donations give returned products a second life while supporting communities in need. Sometimes products can’t be resold for a variety of reasons, like damaged packaging, but they still have plenty of life left. In these cases, items may be donated to families and individuals in need through our nonprofit partner Good360. In 2023, Amazon donated or helped independent sellers donate more than 160 million products worldwide. Good360 distributes these donations to local nonprofits, like Mary Nelson's Youth/Community Center in Syracuse. Mary recently shared that our donated items provide crucial resources that improve families' quality of life. For example, at a recent event, a new mom was excited to receive a noise machine to help her baby sleep through the night. Mary’s tireless efforts, enabled by Amazon's donations, have transformed her community. We're honored to support local heroes like Mary in making a lasting positive impact. Friends, Romans, LinkedIn connections - lend me your ears! If you know me well, you know that I have been involved with community theatre for a long time. I've been an actor, director, producer, technical staff, board member, board president, and I'm currently directing a musical for our organization. We're putting on Damn Yankees! Theatre is important to me because I believe that the arts, particularly the performing arts, have the power to transform lives and create empathy for our fellow human beings. I've selected Damn Yankees for this reason - there is a lot to be said in this story about workaholism, priorities in life, and it explores in-depth the way that men express their emotions through sports. This strikes me as an underserved but important story - plus musical theatre is a fun way to tell it! :) As you may not know - theatre productions are incredibly expensive. Renting a space for rehearsal and productions, licensing the rights to the performance, costumes, sets, props, etc. -- they all cost money. Lots of it. We of course make money on ticket sales, but that doesn't always cut it. We're continuing to thrive in 2024 because of not only dedicated patrons, but because of generous donations and support. I have a couple of ways I'd like to ask for your help in making our summer production a success! 1. Send some specific items we need. Our summer production is baseball themed, and we're planning to sell some baseball themed concessions. I've put together a small Amazon wish-list of some items we would like to sell. You can find that here: https://lnkd.in/gEBpNCJr. Anything helps! 2. Donate to our organization. If you prefer to make a monetary donation, you can do so here: https://lnkd.in/g7MKM8Jq. No amount is too small (or too large! :D), and helps us reach our ultimate goal. 3. Share this post. Maybe you can't help us monetarily and that's OK. Getting the word out is a major help. Oh, did I mention - we are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. So any donation you make is tax-deductible! Please consider helping us out this summer. Our company has had a major impact on my life (I even met my wife through this organization!) and I want to do right by them by putting on a successful production! Help us put on some wonderful #musicaltheatre in Columbus, IN! #artsincolumbus #theatre #supportthearts

It's Movember! This month, I'm joining the global movement to raise awareness for men's health issues like prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health, and suicide prevention. The Movember campaign encourages men to grow mustaches during November to spark conversations and raise funds for lifesaving research and support programs. Even if you can't grow a mo', you can still get involved by donating, moving for the cause, or simply starting important dialogues. I'm participating in Movember because I believe men's health deserves more attention and investment. Too many men are falling silent too early. By coming together, we can change the face of men's health and help save lives. Join me in supporting this important cause! Check out my Movember fundraising page https://lnkd.in/gkmTRVRp or start your own. Let's make some noise for men's health this Movember.

Most buyers don’t come back—unless you give them a reason to. Nonprofits know this. That’s why they thank new donors twice in the first five days. A simple “thank you” can turn one-time buyers into loyal fans. Amazon sellers can do this too: - Send a thank-you email right after the purchase. - Add a personal thank-you note in the package. - Share a behind-the-scenes video link using a QR code. A little gratitude goes a long way in building trust and loyalty. How do you thank your buyers? Share your ideas in the comments—I’d love to hear them! #AmazonSellers #BrandLoyalty #AmazonFBA #EcommerceTips #ThankYourCustomers

The irony of this blatant and obvious tribute to authoritarian rule and facism, will be the very downfall of our democracies the world over. In that same government, they are forcefully undermining direct content competition with TikTok, forcing severance from China in a desperate attempt to control information, perspectives, and influence arguing cognitive warfare in “protection” of their citizens. Lest not forget the hypocrisy from platforms like Meta- during Cambridge analytics presidential election and brexit campaigns, further dividing nations. We are now at a crossroads of full scale internet deterioration in GenAI garbage. You may think you aren’t susceptible to this, but studies have shown exposure is enough to plant the seeds of misinformation. We may have a fighting chance in the #EU and the rest of the world, if internet and platform governance force compliance and verification with a continuous fight to uphold democratic values and practices. You now have the knowledge, choose what to do with that power … #ai #technology #business #policy #news #some #marketing #trump
Quote: "Google and Microsoft have donated $1m each to Donald Trump’s inauguration fund, following in the footsteps of other major companies including Amazon, Meta, OpenAI and Uber. “Google is pleased to support the 2025 inauguration, with a livestream on YouTube and a direct link on our homepage. We’re also donating to the inaugural committee,” Karan Bhatia, Google’s global head of government affairs and public policy, confirmed in a statement to the Guardian on Thursday."
