🚮 Who would have thought that 2025's most talked-about issue so far in #England seems to be: "When will the bins be collected?" 😁 🗑️ Local authorities have again failed, and left it late, to #communicate clear schedules, leaving people unsure about when to put their bins out. ℹ️ Again, the lack of information has caused frustration and confusion across many communities with rubbish again collocating outside homes. 💁♂️ It’s a reminder of the #importance of clear #communication, especially when it comes to services that affect everyone on a daily basis - which we all pay for! 🏆 A simple solution like updating schedules and ensuring residents are informed would go a long way in alleviating unnecessary buildups. 🙏 Let's hope the situation is resolved soon! A great look at levels of emptiness as recorded annually in official data - find out how many of England's official total of over 961,000 empty homes are in your region.. then bear in mind that the last census found 1.5million suggesting that offical data under-records so-called 'second' or additional home ownership and the use of supposedly residential property as year-round 'whole home' Airbnbs or short lets...
In order to tackle the empty homes crisis, we need to understand the empty homes data. Our latest Instagram post shows how many empty homes there are by region, so take a look at yours..... One example is the East of England where 106,029 homes stand empty. In the same region, there are roughly 17,000 people either rough sleeping or in temporary accommodation. Over 8,000 of those are children without a secure home to call their own.
