One of the straight outta analysis room kind off moment in my brief career !! Credit to the coach Dave Nichols for making the tactical changes and most importantly credit to all the young players for paying attention during the session and executing it on the field!!! Everything about that goal from start till finish was exquisite and it illustrated game awareness, movements of midfielders, dropping of forwards etc. The goal was scored by TY from University Degrees Abroad (UDA) academy. ⚽ Position-less Pressing and Pepijn Lijnders appreciation of Roberto Firminio... There has been a lot of talk recently about tactics/formations and how we will move to a more 'position-less' game to become more fluid and free. It's a great topic, but often overlooks what the impact will be defensively... or how complex this will be to coach effectively. In this clip, Lijnders explains how Firminio works from Brighton defensive midfielder, to Brighton full-back, to Brighton center backs... and how Liverpool adjust. He shares that it wasn't tactically in the game plan but it's in their principles.... so what are those principles when it comes to this? And how would you communicate this as a coach? Again, extremely complex but the rewards are just as big as they are in-possession if you get them to the level Liverpool have done over the years.

Scouting Report: Akeem Dent, CB, Florida State The tape doesn't lie on Dent - he's got elite length and fluidity for the CB position. Shows impressive mirror skills and clicks and closes with excellent burst to stay hip-to-hip vertically. Flashes the ability to get physical and reroute at the LOS. Highly competitive in 50/50 ball situations. Areas for growth: Can be overaggressive at times and get caught peeking in the backfield. Needs to consistently maintain discipline in his backpedal. Overall athleticism is very good but not truly elite. Dent has starting-caliber upside as a press-man CB at the next level. With some technique refinement, his combination of size, length, and competitiveness could make him a coveted prospect come draft day. #NFL #NFLdraft
