As external service providers we get the privilege of working with a wide range of companies. Some go to great lengths to convey to candidates what they do to stand out as an employer of choice. The list of topics is endless but a couple of examples are:
1. Describe what about the environment will support career growth
2. What is the company doing that will expose the candidate to new skills
3. What exceptional people will the candidate get to interact with
Whether the market favours employers or employees, exceptional candidates are always in high demand. If you're after some ideas on how to package up your value offering, please get in touch regardless of if you're using us to recruit for you or not.

Friday inspiration: This article demonstrates an important mindset change when thinking about the attraction, retention and development of talent.
✅ Employers are asking deeper questions about how universities prepare all students for the future of work instead of depending on a legacy reputation alone.
✅ They value a more diverse applicant pool and those with prior work experience.
✅ They are leveraging new ways to find talent (necessitated during the pandemic) vs. going after the same pool as everyone else.
This allows employers to consider applicants from a wider slate of colleges and universities where they have found high quality hires in the past. Whatever background and skills they might be missing become a part of their professional development plan. This is truly how you win the war for talent. I am impressed by the case studies highlighted from PwC, Bank of America, and Booz Allen Hamilton.
This will be even more important as employers seek out graduates with an appropriate level of AI and data literacy to be successful across job categories. My feed is full of amazing champions on both sides of the talent supply chain demonstrating a commitment to make sure that no one gets left behind.

The chief of staff role has been growing in importance and popularity as the pressure on private and public sector leaders intensifies. To develop an empirical picture of the role, we analyzed publicly available data on approximately 250 chiefs of staff who have served in the role within the past eight years. The group is almost evenly split between men and women, and its members have worked at roughly 300 organizations around the world. Our analysis suggests that COS career trajectories and responsibilities vary widely, but eight broad archetypes emerge. https://lnkd.in/drRnEyj6
