Anson Resources Ltd (ASX:ASN, OTCQB:ANSNF) has extracted supersaturated brine from Mississippian Units at the Green River Lithium Project in the Paradox Basin in south-eastern Utah, USA, confirming expectations that this will be the site of its second lithium project in Utah. Sampling was undertaken after completion of the Bosydaba #1 well at Green River, which is on recently purchased private property, and the Mississippian Units measured >255.55 metres (>740 feet) thick with pressure of 4,900 psi. The supersaturated brine, weighing 9.5 pounds per gallon (lb/g), continued to flow into the well up to a vertical depth of 600 feet from surface after a continued sampling period. Assay results received from 22 samples collected during recent field work at the Hirvikallio #Lithium project in Southern #Finland with grades of up to 4.26% Li₂O and 3.3% Li₂O encountered. Resource Mining Corporation’s Executive Chairman, Asimwe Kabunga, said: “The exciting high-grade Li₂O results obtained from recent field work by RMC on the Hirvikallio project confirms again the presence of high-grade lithium-bearing pegmatite bodies in the central and southern part of the reservation area, away from the Natura 2000 area in the North. We're pleased to provide an update on the optimization of the Falchani processing flow-sheet. The unique volcanic style of lithium mineralization at Falchani, combined with low impurity content allows its flow-sheet to resemble more conventional mining/processing flow-sheets versus most hard-rock lithium projects where concentrates are produced and then shipped elsewhere for further refining into higher quality products. Falchani’s flow-sheet utilizes warm sulfuric acid leaching and impurity removal steps to produce a high-purity lithium carbonate end product on site with purity in excess of 99.5%, typically the threshold for battery-grade lithium carbonate. This helps drive the robust economics, particularly the low operating costs, highlighted in the Company’s original and recently updated Preliminary Economic Assessments. There is no need for additional refining steps offshore. ASX Announcement: Muvero - High-grade Lithium, Caesium, Tantalum. Tyranna Technical Director, Peter Spitalny, commented: “A strongly mineralised zone having potential to continue down below the current limit of drilling has been intersected by MRC21, MRC22, MRC24 and MRC25. The lithium grades within this zone are high and result from abundant high-purity spodumene and highlight the lithium potential of the Muvero Prospect. The presence of pollucite was anticipated and is encouraging, with potential to discover a zone of pollucite which would augment the value of the lithium mineralisation. Included within the mineralised zone intersected by MRC21, MRC22, MRD24 and MRC25 there is highgrade tantalum mineralisation, which was also noted in results from the core drilling in 2022. Interestingly, the tantalum is not always associated with lithium mineralisation and may be quite widespread throughout the entire project area. Tantalum, like lithium, is classified as a Critical Mineral. It is expensive, valuable and may prove to be an economically significant component of Muvero, and possibly other pegmatites within the Namibe Lithium Project. We anticipate additional high-grade lithium intersections, and probably also high-grade caesium and tantalum intersections, from pending assay results. Drilling will continue at Muvero and then shift to other prospects. Greenstone Resources Limited is pleased to be featured in the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade)’s Australian Critical Minerals Prospectus 2023, which details the Mt Thirsty Project investment summary. The Mt Thirsty Project, 150km south of Kalgoorlie, is focused on open-pit mining and extraction of #cobalt, #nickel, and #manganese from a large, flat-lying, shallow, and soft orebody. Following a 145% increase in the Mt Thirsty resource in April 2023, the JV commenced a Scoping Study. The Scoping Study is evaluating high-pressure acid leaching (HPAL) as the ore processing method, followed by solvent extraction to produce cathode precursor and sulphate products. This is favoured over atmospheric leaching used in previous studies due to significantly higher metal recovery rates associated with HPAL. HPAL also allows for the recovery of additional metals like #scandium and #manganese, not previously recovered by atmospheric leaching.
