This week Farage hosted the official launch of Technical Sports Brand; Two Point One at Farage House, 109 Riley Street, Sydney.
GREATER THAN THE SUM OF IT'S PARTS...
Two Point One is stocked exclusively at Farage, 109 Riley Street Sydney and online at twopointone.com.au#twopointone
Continuing to reduce the footprint to optimize operations and leverage flexibility. Now that's making adjustments.
This move aligns more with the most recent published AUV being sub $5M. It also adds potential markets to the development map which should translate into an increased potential location count. Who doesn't want more of those Mozzarella Logs or Devils on Horseback, Catfish Atchafalaya and *Doughnut Bread Pudding?
The most impressive part of this may not be the most obvious. Bare with me.
Walk-On's has been committed to the evolution of their brand. They do so with pace and intentionality.
Personally, I've not loved every move made. Especially some of the personnel decisions. However, moves are made with the best collective interests in mind.
In 2023 they updated to Toast from the legacy Aloha system to leverage a cloud based central hub for their tech stack.
During that same time they tapped into the best in the business Nabeel Alamgir🦄 and his Lunchbox platform.
They had already began working a new smaller proto, the "Bulldog" buildout.
Menu innovation doesn't get overlooked, go checkout the fry revolution they just had.
They rollout strategic marketing initiatives with well communicated quarterly milestones.
Brandon Landry, Drew Brees, and Dak Prescott bring an added level of authenticity to the Sports Bistreaux theme.
The franchise community also has some really impressive operators like Mike Lester, as well as DBMC RESTAURANTS that are exemplary brand ambassadors.
Smaller footprints might cap the number of TVs that you can fit into a location, (Wichita still the record holder 3POINTE RESTAURANT GROUP-ROGERS, LLC ???), but it may be worth the sacrifice.
What's impressive about this move is that Walk-On's appears to be committed to enhancing and protecting the investment of the stakeholders for the brand. Their Franchisees, the teams, and the guests.
Just my opinion 🤷
Have a Happy 4th!
Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux is developing a smaller prototype. Walk-On’s plans to open the first smaller prototype this fall in response to higher costs and development challenges. http://ow.ly/7Aqw105zaIW
If you happened to miss our digital content launch with Prolific Sports Lab on Instagram, check it out here! Two standout Georgia Football players, Naz Stackhouse & Drew Bobo, were able to test out the NXT Footguard 2.0 in our training session this Summer. It's safe to say that they will be relying on their NXT Footguard 2.0 through the season to prevent impact injuries that many players (past & present) deal with.
Grab your pair today to stay on the field & out of the training room!

I like the thoughts of TJ Walker, starting a debate about game cams in action sports. Check out the immediate test and join the discussion #pushingboundaries
Last week, I dropped the "mild" take that live Action Sports coverage could use more “Game Camera.” Lemmetellya... people had opinions! 😅
My point? With live FPV drone coverage becoming the norm, it’s time for Live Broadcast Directors to rethink how they’re showcasing the action.
In the stick & ball world, the Game Cam is our go to angle, giving us the best angle on the action. But in Skate, BMX, Snow, and MTB? We’ve pretty much left the Game Cam to gather dust.
To put the “Action Sport Gam Cam” theory to the test, we re-edited Emil Johansson's run from Crankworx Innsbruck (2023)
Here’s what we did:
✅ Took the feedback from Richard Bos, Uli Mast, Charles Balchin (amongst others) and chose a side view of the run/course over the FPV angle.
✅ Kept the camera variety, but dialled back on the constant switching.
✅ Mark Taylor - I think you could argue that the branding and location are actually better showcased with this approach?
The verdict? I think it’s a win, but I’m curious to hear what others think.
TLDR: We’re cutting the action too much in action sport and have to dial it back

FOUR GENERATIONS - Numinous boards.
Proud to be part of the design process of developing the next-generation SUP board. We have come a long way since 2016.
Latest work for Kona Sports
Chapter 1 of ‘Future of Sport,’ a new four-part series from Backslash and Dark Horses, is now live.
This opening chapter explores how an upending of tradition is giving way to a more balanced future. As the very foundation of sport is uprooted and remixed, we’ll throw out old assumptions of what’s considered a sport, which nations govern it, and how influence is divided between genders.

How to manage the content explosion around live sports production ? I can't think of a better topic for a summer webinar given that the Euro 24 just finished and we are right in the middle of the Paris 24 Olympics 📺 ⚽ 🏅
