Exploring Mars: Terrain Analysis for Future Landing Sites In my latest study, I’ve conducted an in-depth terrain analysis of Mars, focusing on areas with potential for future landing and exploration missions. Using topographical features like hillshade, slope, and contour analysis, I identified regions of varying steepness and mapped potential landing zones. Red areas indicate dangerous, steep slopes (over 15°), unsuitable for landing. Lighter regions highlight steepness between 10-15 deg risky but yet manageable. Circular patterns suggest craters, adding complexity to the terrain.
