I always love having the opportunity to work with Angela Bozo, ACS CCP and the entire INFRA team! With so many innovations hitting the market (many of which will show up on the show floor at Newtopia Now), it's important for retailers to understand the latest category management strategies. We're excited for this awesome workshop the Thrive neighborhood at Newtopia Now later this summer, which is one of many sessions focused on supporting retail differentiation. Join INFRA’s Danelle Rydel, VP of member success and Angela Bozo, director of member programs, for a discussion of innovation opportunities within modern category management paradigms. They will tackle the questions: Are subcategories too narrow to encourage real category innovation? What strategies have worked for defying categorization? Which up-and-coming subcategories could become their own categories and why? How can retailers and brands work together more effectively to encourage new products? There's been lots of people moves in the first week of the year - check them out at https://lnkd.in/eS448shc - but some really interesting deal activity, too, and as JP Morgan's healthcare conference starts today it's interesting to see Vijay's CVS Health Ventures back WellBe, an independent provider of care in the home  https://lnkd.in/ezZAyMEH This follows Nabla Copilot, an AI assistant for electronic health records, raising a $24m series B round led by Cathay Innovation, with participation from ZEBOX Ventures, a multi-corporate CVC set up by Gwen last year on behalf of shipping magnate from CMA CGM Group. There's a host of specialist firms, such as Ricardo at Takeda, now building out virtual care portfolios and plenty of CVCs from other sectors, such as Bertelsmann, and the big tech groups muscling in if they can. For understandable reasons, a lot of attention has been on the exciting techbio developments, but the point of care for treatment and pharmacy is where the rubber often hits the road in treatment and vital for greater innovation

The ambition in both these areas remains unwavering. To steer this course effectively and provide room for natural growth within the organization, founders Pim Vernooij and Niels Smits are passing on the day-to-day leadership at Lab Digital to a highly trusted team. Michiel Tielemans (Managing Director), Chiel te Loeke (Operational Director), and Panche Gashteovski (Technical Director) will be leading the way. The domains of Research & Development, People & Organization, and Strategy & Creativity will be led by Michael van Tellingen, Erik van Zuylen, and Gijs Edelbroek, respectively. This doesn't mean farewell for the founders.
