Ambitious about Autism, Marsh McLennan’s award-winning charity partner, are at the forefront of helping corporations recognise the value autistic people can bring to the workplace. Through organising paid internships, training days, updating recruitment policies and more, attitudes and outcomes are changing: 22 paid work experiences were provided to autistic young people across Marsh McLennan UK. 238 people received specialist training to be able to support an autistic person within their teams. Lived Experience Advisory Group (LEAG) of neurodivergent colleagues set up. 10+ resources were developed to support autistic people and their parents / carers, including toolkits, networks, newsletters and training sessions. They’re doing excellent work, but they need our help. They’ve tasked us interns with a fundraising challenge, £500 by Friday. Ambitious, but that’s right on brand. Nurturing holistic growth through real-world experiences: Elevating skills beyond the traditional classroom setting through internships, volunteering, and co-curricular activities.

Mercy Relief works with interns for several reasons: 1. Fresh Perspectives: Interns often bring new ideas and perspectives, which can invigorate the organization’s strategies and approaches. 2. Talent Pipeline: Internships serve as a recruitment tool, allowing Mercy Relief to identify and nurture potential future employees for its succession planning. 3. Skills Development: Internships offer students and young professionals the chance to develop their skills in a real-world setting, aligning with Mercy Relief’s mission of community empowerment and capacity building. 4. Project Assistance: Interns bring an added dimension to our outreach, fundraising and communication programs, injecting creativity and new perspectives. 5. Engagement and Awareness: By working with interns, Mercy Relief engages with the younger generation, fostering awareness and support for humanitarian causes among future leaders and professionals.

2023 was a year of great change, heartbreak, and difficult realities. At PIP Inc., we also experienced a year of hope, community strength, and mutual support, even through exceptionally challenging times. PIP Inc.'s 2023 Impact Report highlights the great successes of Palestinian Internship Program (PIP) & Palestinian Mentorship Program (PMP) participants last year, with the help of dedicated 60+ Host Companies, 90+ Mentors, 140 volunteers, and other supporters who want to build a better future. Since 2020 my love for the summer time has grown. Why? Because 2020 was the first summer I was able to host summer interns in New York at my business Vision Street Research LLC. Our internship program is one of the ways we deliver on our commitment to #WorkforceDevelopment.  Last week, A new summer intern Vision Street Research , Cle-Andre' Stewart, had the pleasure of speaking with Jonathan Prevost, MPA Senior Associate at The Pew Charitable Trusts. Throughout his discussion with Cle-Andre', Mr. Prevost spoke about several ways to promote self growth, especially on a professional level. Key advice included: 1) Always have an open ear and build relationships with those that may be more successful than you at that moment to be able to learn more about what it took for them to get to their career path. 2) Network no matter where you may be, emphasizing that you may never know who will become an important factor to your success in the future. 3) Mr. Prevost stated that as an athlete, Cle-Andre' needs to understand the importance of leveraging the competitive nature within the workplace. Thank you, Jonathan, for your time and effort in deeply educating Cle-Andre' pertaining to personal growth in and out of the workplace! #VisionStreetResearch #VSRSummerLearning#JonathanPrevost #ThePewCharitableTrusts#Growth

🎉 Exciting news 🎉 Our international innovative ‘DreamBig@WTW’ program has launched in its second year. This intensive program is delivered in partnership with WTW a leading global advisory and broking solutions company. DreamBig@WTW is a unique three-year program that supports young people aged 15-18, from marginalised communities in the United Kingdom to develop their business and life skills. Our mentees will have access to skills-based training, learning about all aspects of WTW’s People, Risk, and Capital business segments – including the vital skills of problem-solving, data analytics, and communication. Urban Synergy and WTW mentors will meet with youth monthly during the school year to help them build confidence to ‘dream big’ and develop skills in pursuing their future careers. The program also offers paid summer internships within a line of business at WTW and guidance to reinvest skills in their communities.
