It was a privilege to participate in the Climate and Health Regional Dialogue organized by the Ambassade de France en Thaïlande and hosted by Mahidol University. The discussions reaffirmed the importance of integrating biodiversity into the One Health approach, especially when addressing the interconnected challenges of climate change, health, and equity. Protected and Conserved Areas (PCAs) can serve as critical sentinel surveillance sites for emerging zoonoses, helping bridge the gap between human, animal, and ecosystem health. As we face the triple planetary crisis of climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution, it’s vital that we embed One Health principles into our strategies for resilient and equitable health systems. Looking forward to continued collaboration towards solutions that advance sustainability and health equity. #OneHealth #Biodiversity #HealthEquity #ClimateChange #Sustainability #Zoonosis #PlanetaryHealth #PCA
Thrilled to have facilitated the first round table at the Climate and Health Regional Dialogue 🌍🌱 organised by Ambassade de France en Thaïlande and hosted by the #mahidoluniversity! The discussions were a powerful reminder that addressing the impacts of #climatechange on health requires an inclusive, community-driven, and multisectoral approach. Together with experts from across #SEA, we explored how #OneHealth can bridge the gap between humans, animals, and ecosystems to tackle emerging diseases and environmental challenges. 🦠🌿👥 A big thank you to all the speakers, it's clear that resilient health systems can only be built through collective action and the integration of environmental and social justice principles. 🌎🤝 #CommunityEngagement #HealthEquity #Sustainability #apcaso #irasec CIRAD PREZODE IRD, L'Initiative - Expertise France, CNRS, Ministère de l'Europe et des Affaires étrangères, AFD - Agence Française de Développement, The Global Fund

What a presence we had at the Oxford Real Farming Conference 2025! A big shout out to Em Gen’r Boglárka Bozsogi for leading this effort. Check out some pics on the video below. We were grateful and humbled to be recognised as an official partner of the conference alongside such inspiring organisations. Reconnecting with old friends and making new ones was just as important as catching up on the latest growth of #agroecology and #regenerative thinking. Em Gen’rs took over the Kings Arms two nights in a row to celebrate the friendship and kindness underpinning this network. It was an absolute highlight to see 130 delegates chatting away at our Food and Farming Futures networking our co-hosted with Roots To Work, Soil Association, and Sustain: The alliance for better food and farming and sponsored with treats by Hodmedod and Vintage Roots. Thank you all who contributed - let’s definitely do more of this! These informal spaces are so important to give new entrants and young people the confidence to enter the sector with meaningful connections and knowledge. #ORFC25 was yet again a unique moment of #foodsystem actors, growers, changemakers, and learners coming together, united in our passion to build a food and farming system safe, prosperous, and sustainable for future generations. Our workshop, Agroecological youth movements—Let’s connect!, was a manifestation of the #diversity of ideas and organisations present in the #food and #farming space. We identified common needs of confidence, networking, and resources and we will continue working on mapping synergistic movements to amplify our power and build collaborative projects. A special thanks to collaborators Giacomo Ranalli and The National Federation of Young Farmers' Clubs, and to Becky Grove and Jonathan Brunyee for highlighting the efforts of #EmergentGeneration as an accelerator programme strengthening these much needed capacities. Kudos to Giulia Kessous and Leonie Nimmo (GM Freeze) for an interactive session sharing intergenerational knowledge of the anti GM activism back in the day and it's relevance now! And to everyone presenting at and organising the conference—a huge feat with great impact! Thank you and congratulations. #orfc #regenuk #regen #britishfarming #youthvoice #YoungFarmers #foodsovreignty #youth4climate #emergentgeneration Jonathan Brunyee Giacomo Ranalli Tristan Leslie Danielle Semple Boglárka Bozsogi

🌱 New Sustainability Project for First Nations Patients at Forensic Hospital🌱 A groundbreaking sustainability initiative is being piloted at the Forensic Hospital in Malabar, offering First Nations patients the chance to reconnect with country through nature. The project will reduce the hospital’s environmental footprint while supporting patient rehabilitation by growing native plants, bush foods, and the critically endangered Eastern Suburbs Banksia Scrub. Funded by a $25,000 grant from the NSW Health Sustainable Futures Innovation Fund, the program is in partnership with IndigiGrow, an Aboriginal company based in La Perouse. The funding will go towards: 🌿 A greenhouse for plant cultivation 🌿 Gardening tools and a rainwater tank with solar-powered pump 🌿 Vital support for IndigiGrow’s ongoing work This initiative represents a meaningful step towards sustainability and cultural healing. We’re excited to see the positive impact this project will have on the environment and the community! 🌍💚 Read the full story here: https://lnkd.in/gDa7Ed5U If you want to be part of something that makes a real difference or learn more about the work being done by #JusticeHealthNSW to improve patient care—and why it could be #JustThePlace for your career—visit: https://lnkd.in/g5zx_krR #Sustainability #FirstNations #EnvironmentalImpact #IndigiGrow #CulturalConnection

💚 Let's celebrate and promote #soilhealth! 🤎 🌱 World Soil Day (WSD) was established on 5 December by FAO within the framework of the Global Soil Partnership (GSP). Since then, the focus on the importance of healthy soils and sustainable soil management has continued to grow. 🌿 This year's World Soil Day theme is "Caring for Soils: Measure, Monitor, Manage", highlighting the importance of accurate #soildata and information in understanding soil characteristics and supporting informed decision-making for sustainable #soilmanagement for #foodsecurity. At ISINNOVA, we believe that research and innovation in #soilhealth can reverse the negative trends caused by current agricultural practices and the growing demand for food production. 🌳 🌍 That is why we are working with international organisations, universities and local land actors on two EU-funded projects: AI 4 Soil Health and iCOSHELLs - Innovative co-creation soil health living labs, which aim to support future farmers and land managers in discovering and adopting innovative agricultural techniques and practices backed by new tools to measure soil health. 🌻Remember: “Caring for soil is caring for life”! #WorldSoilDay2024 #GlobalSoilPartnership

Access to clean and safe water is essential for public health, environmental sustainability, and economic stability. Contaminated water can lead to serious health issues, including waterborne diseases, and can negatively impact ecosystems. Improving the sewer treatment plant is beneficial as it ensures that wastewater is properly treated before being released back into the environment, reducing pollution and protecting water sources. Enhanced treatment facilities can also handle larger volumes of waste, support growing populations, and comply with stricter environmental regulations, ultimately leading to a healthier community and a more resilient ecosystem.
A Paradigm Shift in Global Sanitation The Homa Bay Blueprint, a pioneering partnership between Global Partners for Development and 374Water. This transformative project aims to revolutionize water treatment in Homa Bay, Kenya, enhancing community health in the Great Lakes region of Africa. Join us in this journey towards a sustainable and healthier future. 🐝 Today is World Bee Day - a great opportunity to highlight a special customer of ours. 🍯Bee-io Honey Ltd has developed fully lab-made honey that is almost molecularly identical to bee-made honey, without touching a single bee. 🌻Their philosophy of 'thinking outside the hive' has challenged harmful honey production methods that have led to: > mass extinction of local bee populations > 33% global decline in bees over two decades > loss of bee +wildflower biodiversity. ⚙️As they look to scale honey production from 3 tons/week to 20 tons/week, efficiency and productivity are critical to ensure they reach their ambitious goals. 👩🔬We caught up with Efrat Dvash Riesenfeld, CTO, to find out how they're leveraging Labguru to produce healthy, high-quality honey, completely bee-free. ⬇️ Read Bee-io's case study ⬇️ https://bit.ly/3QQTEDf
