Looking back on my first year (and a bit more!) at Send, I’m filled with gratitude for an incredible journey—both professionally and personally.🌟 Joining the Delivery Team has been a privilege. Together with my amazing teammates, we delivered our in-house developed underwriting workbench with top-notch quality to multiple clients and partners. Collaborating with cross-border teams across various time zones was as challenging as it was rewarding. I’ve learned so much, from tech to teamwork, that I’ll carry forward with pride. I’ve always been drawn to industries where money matters and what’s more relevant than the insurance industry? At Send, we’re on a mission to help underwriters work smarter and better. Fun fact: I’ve created and issued million-dollar policies… all in the test environment, of course. 😉 On the testing front, this year was full of growth. Under the guidance of my team lead, Tomás, I started diving into Playwright with TypeScript and gained hands-on experience. I also became familiar with tools like XRay and TestRail for test management. These tools and methodologies have significantly sharpened my skills and broadened my testing expertise. Beyond the technical side, I’ve embraced the value of open communication, a skill that’s critical in a remote-first environment like ours. Send’s remote work policy not only fosters seamless collaboration but also allows me to interact with teams from more countries in a single year than I had in my entire life before! 🌍 One of the biggest perks of remote work? The freedom to explore! This year has been a true travel adventure - from the serene beaches of Pondi and the snowy mountains of Himachal to the vibrant tech hub of Bangalore in India. To top it all off, I embarked on my very first international trip last December (read about that here: https://lnkd.in/gMQXsu86 ). Without a doubt, it has been my most exciting year so far! 🛤️✈️ As the year winds down, I’m signing off for the holidays with immense gratitude and excitement for what’s ahead.
