This right here..... this is a prime example of what I see all the time now days.
"look at all the shiny things that move on their own...."
My wonderful PM watched it and said it best:
"what's the point, it's (the slab and rough-ins) are always off?"
Now maybe it does something about those details, I don't know, but the conversations about anything these days are definitely NOT about the real issues of making things. It's not hard or time consuming to do a layout. The skill is in dealing with the real world. the fact that concrete is unlevel by a half inch over a yard, someone put the form board on the wrong side of the line and now is off 3", the plumbers off, but the concrete guys kicked the pipes even more off......
Rubber meets the road in the real world. Where the mechanical engineers do our thing. Not where the software and wires meet.
