🚨 Illegal Worker Intimidation by Trump & Musk! 🚨 ⏱️ Estimated Reading Time: 1 minute The UAW (United Automobile Workers) union has taken a stand, filing federal labor charges against Donald Trump and Elon Musk. Why? Because these billionaires crossed the line, threatening workers who exercised their right to strike. 🚫🚶♂️ In a chaotic conversation on X (formerly Twitter), Trump openly advocated for the illegal firing of striking workers— a blatant violation of the National Labor Relations Act. Musk unfortunately did not contradict Trump and apparently sided with him. 🛑 UAW President Shawn Fain put it plainly: “When we say Donald Trump is a scab, this is what we mean. Both Trump and Musk want working-class people to sit down and shut up, and they laugh about it openly.” 🤡 In Europe, such behavior wouldn’t fly. 🇪🇺 The law is clear: workers' rights, including the right to strike, are fundamental. Violations like these would lead to severe legal repercussions, including hefty fines and damages. 💼⚖️ #workersrights #laborlaw #uaw #trump #musk #strikeaction #socialjustice #workersunite #europa #belgium

Elon Musk is Causing Serious Problems Everywhere Elon Musk is stirring up far-right sentiments abroad while also spreading election disinformation in the US. The 2024 presidential election is the first since Musk took over X, formerly known as Twitter. With him at the helm, fact-checkers have been removed, AI-generated falsehoods are spreading to millions, and Musk’s own misleading posts have garnered over a billion views. As the world’s richest person, Musk wields significant influence over a platform that can greatly amplify Donald Trump’s campaign. He has also backed the creation of a Trump-aligned political action committee with the power to raise and spend unlimited funds — a powerful combination that is being closely watched by election analysts, civil rights groups, and state prosecutors. “Elon Musk is misusing his influential position as the owner of a politically significant social media platform to spread disinformation, causing division and distrust,” says Imran Ahmed, CEO of the Center for Countering Digital Hate. Their research shows that none of Musk’s posts about US elections have been fact-checked. #ElonMusk #ElectionDisinformation #2024Elections #PoliticalInfluence #FactChecking #DigitalHate #TrumpCampaign #Disinformation #SocialMedia

In order to remain employed at X, all employees must undergo a three pronged litmus test. They must be "Excellent, necessary and trustworthy." If more companies were to follow Elon's lead, how much better would American companies be? Useless, jargon speaking middle managers who spend more time delegating and justifying their corporate existence then working, are a threat to corporate success. These do-nothing delegators are also a threat to production and good work ethic. Why work hard to excel when mediocrity and a lack of meaningful results is rewarded? Excellent employees know the employees who are not-so-excellent. The greatest loss in an organization through the continued employment of do-nothing delegators is it's devastating effects on employee morale. Where do you see yourself? Are you Excellent, necessary and trustworthy? Elon’s Test of Employment https://lnkd.in/eriU6H7k Download our app to read more at https://ept.ms/DownloadApp

San Francisco's gamble on tax breaks to lure Twitter/X and revive Market Street has failed, with today marking the last day before X relocates to Austin, leaving behind vacant storefronts and persistent challenges. 🏢 The city offered millions in tax incentives in 2010, hoping Twitter’s presence would ignite a tech-driven revival. 🚶♂️ Despite early optimism, tech workers stayed inside their offices, contributing little to the local economy. 🍽️ Local restaurants closed as tech employees opted for free meals at work, reducing foot traffic and engagement in the neighborhood. 🚪 With X moving to Austin tomorrow, Market Street now faces increased vacancies and worsening homelessness. 🌆 San Francisco’s reliance on tech booms, without addressing underlying social and economic issues, has resulted in an unstable cycle of growth and decline. #SanFrancisco #TechExodus #UrbanRevitalization 🏙️ Over six years, the city lost $70 million in revenue with minimal long-term benefits. 💡 AI companies leasing office space bring hope, but reflect San Francisco's continued dependence on the volatile tech sector. 💬 Mayor London Breed faces mounting pressure to tackle the city’s structural challenges, from high taxes to crime and homelessness. https://lnkd.in/g-ZBE5gR

I don't accept the Terms & Conditions ◦ I know three things ◦ Wholly unimpressed ◦ spacer.gif and IE6 survivor ◦ Human-Centred ◦ I write, talk, and joke about Tech Policy & Social Impact.
Imagine the uproar if Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez decided to grill Elon Musk over his open support for Donald Trump on ExTwitter. The cries of tyranny and abuse of power would be deafening. Yet, when Republicans did just that, dragging tech CEOs to Capitol Hill to accuse them of censoring conservative speech, it barely raised an eyebrow. This double standard is glaring. Studies consistently debunk claims of left-wing bias in content moderation, showing that platforms often bend over backwards to accommodate rule-breaking Trumpists. Yet, Congress held multiple hearings, demanding to know why conservative voices were allegedly being silenced. This was a direct attack on free speech, a point conveniently ignored by self-proclaimed free speech advocates. In one instance, CEOs were even asked to disclose their employees' political affiliations—an absurd invasion of privacy. Now, Elon Musk, who once championed Twitter's neutrality, openly endorses Trump, promising to fund his campaign. Where's the outrage now? Elon Musk has taken control of the @America handle on X (formerly Twitter), using it to openly support Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign. This follows Musk’s growing alignment with right-wing politics and his recent public endorsement of Trump, including appearing at a rally in Pennsylvania. Musk has repurposed the handle to advocate for key issues such as free speech and border security, sparking controversy over the role of his platform in shaping political discourse. What do you think about social media CEOs openly supporting political candidates? Let’s discuss! #ElonMusk #Trump2024 #FreeSpeech #SocialMedia #DigitalPolitics
