Has anyone thought about these supply chain attacks being used against us? Just thinking how many different types of laptops, electronic devices could go through public events (malls, airports, arenas) without being detected... Hopefully our airport screeners and security teams have the technology/intelligence to detect these threats.
What to know about the two waves of deadly explosions that hit Lebanon and Syria

📟Simultaneous explosions of around 2,000 pagers carried by Hezbollah members in Lebanon exposed a critical vulnerability. Experts suggest Israel intercepted the supply chain, embedding explosives and a detonation system triggered by a specific message or frequency in the pagers Hezbollah relied on for secrecy. 💥This attack highlights the risks of compromised supply chains, even for devices off-grid from the internet — showcasing the scale of such an off-grid supply chain attack. PS: Had to explain to the younger folks at work what pagers are 📟 https://lnkd.in/d3swaQPw #SupplyChainAttack #Hezbollah #OffGridDevices #Israel #PagerExplosions #TechInfiltration

By now, many are likely aware of the recent publication of allegedly highly-classified content on the Internet, with claims of being passed by anonymous sources to specific parties. The Telegram channel linked to these claims has been described as filled with propaganda, disinformation, and biased viewpoints on a regional crisis. The situation took an even stranger turn when the individuals behind the release contradicted themselves, stating a lack of knowledge about the authenticity of the documents they shared as an exclusive. This development underscores the challenges faced by investigators in identifying the source of the leaks, particularly given the potential widespread dissemination of the sensitive information. However, innovative solutions such as printer tracking dots offer hope in tracking down those responsible, as demonstrated by the NSA in a previous case. And while we do not know the technology and sleuthing techniques that might be leveraged to identify the culprit, history indicates that it will be far easier in this age to determine so than generations prior. While the aftermath of this incident may be messy and take time to resolve, the implications for decision-making in battle management by the Israeli authorities and their allies could be significant. For more details on the situation surrounding the purported classified leak or the NSA's use of microdots to identify leakers, check out the provided references below: REFERENCE Classified Leak Synopsis - https://lnkd.in/gKW78sSQ NSA Identifies Leaker by Microdots - https://lnkd.in/gt4z-KHT #ClassifiedLeak #NSA #Security #Investigation #Telegram #Channel #Propaganda #Disinformation #Tracking

"𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗸: 𝗔 𝗖𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗮𝘂𝗹𝘁 𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗪𝗮𝗿𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗲?" The events of September 17 and 18, 2024, clearly show that the attacks in Lebanon were acts of 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗲 rather than mere cyber-attacks. These carefully planned supply chain attacks involved 𝘁𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗶𝗲-𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗶𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 targeting Hezbollah’s communication system, with Israeli intelligence believed to be responsible. The first wave on 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟳 involved modified pagers, specifically the 𝗔𝗥𝟵𝟮𝟰 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗔𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼. The attack resulted in at least 12 deaths and nearly 3,000 injuries, significantly impacting civilians and healthcare workers. Notably, the 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗲𝗶𝗿𝘂𝘁 had advised its staff to stop using pagers just 10 days prior to the attack, highlighting their awareness of the potential risks. Among those injured was 𝗠𝗼𝗷𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗮 𝗔𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶, Iran’s Ambassador to Lebanon, underscoring the attack's wide-reaching effects. The next day on 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟴, a second wave targeted walkie-talkies, which were 𝗜𝗰𝗼𝗺 𝗩𝟴𝟮 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹𝘀. This resulted in further chaos and injuries. Explosives made of 𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗹 𝘁𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 (𝗣𝗘𝗧𝗡) were placed near the 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘂𝗺-𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 of these devices, allowing them to be detonated remotely through a fake message that appeared to come from Hezbollah's leadership. Before the explosions, the devices emitted a beeping sound, adding to the panic and confusion. This operation not only disrupted vital communications but also demonstrated the vulnerability of traditional technology in conflict situations. Overall, these attacks mark a shift in modern warfare, combining cyber tactics with physical destruction to achieve strategic goals. https://lnkd.in/dw33ig86 https://lnkd.in/d8NXzt88 https://lnkd.in/dTaEdNxw https://lnkd.in/dh_Bu_Ps https://lnkd.in/dm5As7Am #LebanonAttack

A new type of warfare which will be used instead of traditional warfare. #cyberattacks which are causing blast of a pager/ device causing physical harm are a reality ! Though it could be arguably termed as a brilliant way of a targeted offensive used by a country against some targeted individuals belonging to a so-called group , it can be misused by others including terror cells. #India should have safeguards immediately as it is a potential The National Security threat. @CKSIndia https://lnkd.in/gSVpBwb5
