During my preparations to serve my fatherland, I had aspirations to join the media department of a larger church than that of my home church. I wanted to expand my knowledge and skills by leveraging more advanced technology. However, life had other plans, and I found myself worshipping at the Nigeria Christian Corper Fellowship (NCCF). Little did I know that this would become a pivotal moment in my journey. At Nigeria Christian Corper Fellowship (NCCF), I discovered a community that allowed me to put my skills into action while remaining humble and open to learning. Despite the limited resources, we made the most of what we had. I learned to use a mobile phone as a makeshift hovering camera, which was a game-changer. We even replaced our master camera and hovering camera with smartphones, using innovative apps like Iriun Webcam on mobile and Vivmix on laptops to switch videos and mix feeds. We also found creative alternatives to traditional walkie-talkie phones, utilizing signs and symbols to communicate effectively. Moreover, we leveraged a website on our devices to streamline our workflow. Through these experiences, I realized that media production is not just about advanced technology but about resourcefulness and knowledge. I learned that with determination and creativity, one can produce exceptional work even with limited resources. This journey taught me to appreciate the value of adaptability, innovation, and continuous learning in achieving excellence in media production. By embracing these principles, I discovered that the possibilities are endless, even in the face of technological limitations. #MediaGirl #MobilePhotographer #NigeriaYouthServiceCorps #NigeriaChristianCorperFellowship

Thanks to ULB Engagée & Jagora Asbl for the opportunity to lead my first high school workshop on "Migration, au-delà des préjugés" How does the media talk about migration? These 14-year-old students already knew a lot about news & social media, and enjoyed learning how framing & journalists work on a hot topic like migration. Inuit communities historically lived in igloos, known as "iglu" in Inuktitut, meaning “house”. Although modern homes are now more prevalent, igloos hold enduring cultural value in the Arctic. Today, they're a cultural symbol and retain practical use for hunters and emergency shelters. If you want to delve deeper into the art and cultural significance of igloo-building and see how they are crafted, check out this insightful video – https://lnkd.in/dd6AnRAr

Our second pathway to change in Humanity United’s Public Engagement strategy is “influencing policy outcomes to ensure greater accountability.” I explain why we landed on this pathway and what we hope it looks like in practice.
▶️ Influencing Policy Outcomes, from Kehinde Togun, Managing Director, Public Engagement. 🟢 Two strategic pathways work together within our Public Engagement portfolio to advance HU’s three core conditions: agency, accountable institutions, and shared humanity. 🟢 Pathway 2 focuses on resource allocation, policy adoption and implementation to ensure that institutions are accountable and responsive to those most impacted by human exploitation and violent conflict. ➡️ You can find a video on ‘Pathway 1: Centering Communities with Lived Experience’ earlier on our feed. 🔗 Read our Public Engagement strategy: https://bit.ly/3UYmhzP

We can't continue lamenting about a pr0bl£m without seeking a solution. Lamentation doesn't solve a pr0bl£m. If you think that something is wrong, bring what you believe that's the right option. If you want to k1ll a lion, don't c.r.y before the lion but get something stronger than the lion to swæll0w the lion. Charles Awuzie believes that Big Brother Naija does not bring out the best in Nigerian youths and he birthed Big Brain Naija. Stop complaining and start creating. Anywhere you see pr0bl£m around you, think of a solution. Instead of complaining about the nature of cart00n ch1ldr£n are exposed to, think of how to create something suitable for ch1ldr£n. Don't say, “I don't have what it takes to create what is needed”. Start with what you have from where you are. We believe that when children are nurtured to become purpose-driven, they will confidently avert v1ces, stay afloat in the murky waters of life and tap into their inherent gifts to create wonders. That's why we created the Purposeful Living Conference. Register for the conference and get the young people in your care registered too. R£gistrat10n l1nk is in the comment section. Stop complaining and start creating. Whatever that tr1gg£rs you may be a pointer to what you're created to do. #oluchimadu #talent #purpose #purposefulliving #purposedriven #purposefullivingcomference
