Quick question for the community! 🧐 I ran 'Kangaroo Solver' on a Data Tree with around 290 branches and 55,000 items, but it flattened the structure. To rebuild it, I had to graft the original tree, extract paths using 'Tree Statistics', and then piece it back together with 'Create Tree' and 'Trim Tree'. It worked, but it feels more like a workaround. 📚 The Data Viz Bookshelf is back! In this last book review of 2023, I learned about a narrative technique called AND-BUT-THEREFORE, which helps us structure data stories. Here's my attempt to use it: AND: Kat Greenbrook is a data storytelling specialist from Aotearoa, New Zealand, and she wrote an amazing book called The Data Storyteller’s Handbook. BUT: Even though I know the book is awesome, others may not yet be aware of how great it is and might miss out on learning how to create awesome data stories!
