Nutrition staffing for facilities in all 50 states (Contact us: ☎️267-241-7242 or 💻kim@nutritionremedyrds.com)
These jobs had to be thought of and developed. -diabetes educator -weight loss dietitian -dialysis dietitian -dietitians that regulate food, participate in food laws -school dietitian (just to make a few) I am so grateful for all of them. I know that there are so many doing wonderful work. YET ... I wish these jobs were not needed (or as needed). Until 50-55 years ago, no one heard of these jobs. Then the American diet changed. Changed for the worse. Dietitians will always be needed, maybe just in different facets. We can change things around, make people healthier before they develop problems. And not be afraid of whether we have a job. We shouldn't bank of people getting sicker for job security. Until then, our nutrition professionals are here to help with post diagnosis care while we still stive to provide preventative care. ------------------------------------------------ Hi I'm Kim President of Nutrition Remedy RDs | Staffing Services My team and I 💜 providing the best nutrition care for your communities. ⏩ expert nutrition professionals (Registered Dietitians, Executive Chefs, Certified Dietary Managers/Food Service Directors, Registered Dietetic Technicians) ⏩ all 50 states ⏩ personalized services for your specific facility #healthcare #education #university #longtermcare #seniorliving #hospitals #nutrition #staffing

It's not just a saying. First impressions really do matter. This goes far beyond looks. Usually the first impression that my team and I receive are through DMs on LinkedIn and through email. We start from that point deciding if we think you will be a good fit. Btw your clinical and food service skills won't always get you in the door. Professionalism is highly needed. P.S. first impressions matter, but I definitely believe in second chances P.P.S-we are all a work in process, always trying to perfect my professionalism ------------------------------------------------------- Hi I'm Kim Company President at Nutrition Remedy RDs | Staffing Services My team and I 💜 providing the best nutrition care for your communities. ⏩ expert nutrition professionals (Registered Dietitians, Executive Chefs, Certified Dietary Managers/Food Service Directors, Registered Dietetic Technicians) ⏩ all 50 states ⏩ personalized services for your specific facility #healthcare #education #university #longtermcare #seniorliving #hospitals #nutrition #staffing

The New York City Health + Hospitals, the biggest public hospital system in US, serve plant based foods as a default. 👏👏👏 The result? 🚀Cutting down emissions by 36% 🚀Over 90% of patients satisfied with their food 🚀With each plant-based tray costing 59 cents less, close to a $1M of cost savings have been achieved already The experience design is a big brilliant nudge: 💡The menu is plant-based by default. If patients wish to have meat, they need to make a request 💡When taking orders, the menu is presented by personnel trained in explaining not only the flavour profile to the patients but also the nutritional content and its benefits 💡 The word “vegan” is not used so as to not put people off. 💡Upon admission, the patients receive educational material about the catering approach. During their stay, TV screens promote plant-based dishes. Upon discharge, the patients are given a plant-based recipe booklet to take home to help them put what they learnt into practice

We asked Dr Regina Belski, Professor of Food, Nutrition and Dietetics at La Trobe, for a quick career insight: What advice would you give to someone considering a career in nutrition and dietetics? “Nutrition and dietetics bring together the art and science of nutrition." "The science part involves understanding how the human body works, what happens to food when we eat it, and how it can impact health and disease. The art is about translating the science to support individuals to improve their health and wellbeing.” “Nutritionists provide food and nutrition recommendations on healthy eating and prevention of disease. Dietitians have additional training in medical nutrition therapy and managing disease, as well as food service management.” “There are so many career paths in nutrition and dietetics. Professionals can work in community health, hospitals, sporting clubs, non-government organisations, government departments, private practice, health promotion roles, in the food industry and health insurance companies – just to name a few!” “If you have a love or passion for food, working with people, and science, then it may be the perfect career for you.” Find out more about courses in food, nutrition and dietetics at La Trobe: https://bit.ly/4ceKWqA #LaTrobeAlliedHealthHumanServicesAndSport #LaTrobeUniversity

The way you speak and document about someone you care for in your facility is crucial. If you paint a picture of them "being difficult" or "being noncompliant", this can highly affect how they are treated throughout the entire facility and other places they may be transferred to. As a healthcare professional, I understand that documenting the FACTS is crucial, yet we always want to make sure we stick to the truth vs our own biases. It's easy to forget where that line is when going through everyday care, but definitely should be thought about consistently. At Nutrition Remedy RDs | Staffing Services, we 💜 providing nutrition for the ones you care for in your community while providing them with the most dignity and respect. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Do you need to hire a nutrition professional for your facility? The Ombudsman is once again addressing the issue of detailed requirements regarding collective catering in hospitals and educational institutions. Among younger generations, changes in dietary preferences are occurring, with an increasing number of students opting for various meat-free diets. Non-governmental organizations signal difficulties in obtaining fully nutritious meat-free meals in educational institutions, particularly due to the lack of alternatives. The Ombudsman requests the Minister of Health's position on the quality of meals in hospitals, an issue of interest for years. Despite years of correspondence, legislative initiatives regarding this matter have not been implemented. Previous efforts to amend the Food Safety and Nutrition Act aimed to introduce mandatory regulations concerning catering in institutions, yet the project was not adopted. The Supreme Medical Council emphasizes that adequate nutrition is an integral part of the treatment process. The Ombudsman emphasizes the need to regulate dietary requirements not only in hospitals but also in educational institutions. Current regulations do not address the issues with meal quality. The Ombudsman proposes utilizing the authorization to determine dietary requirements, allowing for the consideration of the needs of individuals on meat-free diets. The Ombudsman, Marcin Wiącek, requests the Minister of Health, Izabela Leszczyńska, to provide a position on this matter and information on the actions taken. Additionally, it is worth noting that the described issue may also concern foreigners residing in Poland, who, due to religious or cultural reasons, do not consume certain types of food (e.g., pork), and the lack of adequate alternatives may violate their rights. https://lnkd.in/d9ReMFBn

One of the great things about being a dietitian is that there are so many potential career options... While working in a clinical (e.g. hospital/LTC) setting is not for everyone; having this experience does afford you some opportunities and experiences you may not be able to get elsewhere. 1.Working with a care team including MDs, RNs, PT/OT, SLP and pharmacists and caring for individuals with complicated illnesses/diseases. 2. Learning how to collaborate and communicate with other health professionals and being part of a care team. 3. Being recognized professionally in your community. 4. Being able to participate in community health events with the hospital or care facility. 5. Having an opportunity to explore food service/food service management positions. 6. Training and mentoring students and interns. https://lnkd.in/e27huATQ
