Segmed, Inc., a company specializing in real-world imaging data for health innovation, has secured a $10.4 million Series A funding round led by iGan Partners and Advocate Health, with additional participation from several other investors. This funding will allow Segmed to expand its presence in the healthcare AI sector and bring medical imaging to the biopharmaceutical and life science industries. The company aims to enhance patient care and healthcare outcomes by improving medical imaging research and data accessibility. Segmed is a pioneering company in the healthcare sector, specializing in providing access to vast amounts of de-identified medical images and tokenized data. These resources are instrumental in fueling real-world evidence research and development efforts within the healthcare industry. With recent investments totaling $10.4 million in a Series A funding round, Segmed is now poised to expand its medical imaging solutions for artificial intelligence applications and real-world evidence needs. This funding round, which was spearheaded by iGan Partners and Advocate Health, also saw participation from several other prominent investors. Among the most notable milestones of 2024: 🚀 The stablishment of Made of Genes as our first spin-off. 💰 Securing over €5 million in investment from international investors. 🤝 Two strategic agreements with Barça Innovation Hub. 🏥 The deployment of our Genomcore BIMS platform across several healthcare systems in the Spanish NHS. These achievements would not have been possible without the talent, passion, and vision of our extraordinary team, as well as the trust and support of our esteemed collaborators and partners.
