Thank you Moonlight Experiences for a fantastic talk at our offices yesterday as part of our IPG Shared Pride initiative via our We@ UK team. We couldn't agree more that this needs to be a year-round conversation, so it was great to kick off the post-Pride season with your insights and experiences. #Pride #Pride2024 #EDIandYou #Inclusivity

📷 Cobalt’s ‘Out’ and About event last Friday organised by Kate Peers-McQueen and Ciarán Nicholl - but why do we celebrate pride events? Celebrating Pride events in corporate spaces is crucial to foster an inclusive and supportive work environment, and ensure our LGBTQIA+ employees feel valued and respected. We also aim to bring awareness and understanding among all staff, and foster allyship. At our event, we tried to give back to the community by supporting queer-owned small breweries and brands, purchasing products from Luv Jus and PROUD Beer. Trying to give back to the community can be hard if you don’t know where to go, but there is a company trying to fix this. ‘Everywhere is Queer’ is an app that has documented over 500 queer-run businesses across the globe. Fostering inclusivity and support doesn’t stop on the 30th of June, and within Cobalt we champion inclusivity everyday, not just internally but within our clients also. We speak to decision-makers across the real estate industry daily, and with the support of our Head of Inclusion, Megan Bond, our team are well-prepared to consult with our clients on inclusive hiring practices to ensure everyone entering a business can feel comfortable. #Pride #Pride2024 #CobaltCares

Last week's AiMCO Diversity and Inclusion webinar, hosted by Rhiannon Tracey, was a fantastic session. Our panellists shared stories that educated and informed our attendees and me about the transformative power of inclusivity, open dialogue, and genuine understanding. Here are some of the shared experiences that stood out for me Ellie Cole AM PLY recounting her Paralympic journey. Ellie's tale of societal change and acceptance struck a chord with me. Her description of the shift from hushed conversations about her prosthetic in 2008 to open discussions and active learning in 2022 was incredibly inspiring. It reminded me of the importance of addressing uncomfortable topics, fostering open conversations, and embracing diversity in all aspects of life. Taz Zammit's reflections on diversity and inclusion campaigns. Taz emphasises the need for ongoing efforts throughout the year, especially on social media platforms, and not just on days or months for groups. It reinforced the idea that consistently sharing experiences from underrepresented groups is key to promoting inclusivity in our communities. Another webinar highlight was Vivienne Smith's story about open communication and seeking clarity. Her example of addressing concerns about accessibility in the workplace through open dialogue and asking uncomfortable questions showed me the power of effective communication in ensuring inclusivity and understanding. Nathan Richman's insights into how agencies can gain genuine understanding and collaboration between brands and diverse communities. He emphasised creating authentic content that aligns with community values and the importance of respectful representation in media and marketing. Lastly, Rhiannon Tracey's personal anecdote about the impact of wheelchair Barbie on her life enabled meaningful conversations about representation. Thanks again to Simone Landes at The Lifestyle Suite, Lee Sutherland at frankie+jet, Born Bred Talent and Elastic The webinar was a powerful reminder of the positive impact we can make through inclusivity, open dialogue, and genuine representation. Want to understand how your brand is really perceived? It’s time to get vulnerable and do a brand perception survey. Terri Stephan suggests reaching out to your network to find out how they view you. What do they turn to you for? Would they seek your advice on specific topics? Whether it’s through a quick email or a Zoom coffee chat, these insights are invaluable. They allow you to bridge the gap between how you think you’re being perceived and how others actually see you. Time to take that leap and refine your brand! #wecan #wecanleadtech #careeraccelerather #womeninpartnerships #wecaninnercircle #elevatewomenleaders #womenintechnology #womenexecutives #femalementor #inclusiveness #equalrightsforwomen #femaleleadership #inspiringexecutives #mentorshipnetwork

#InclusionMatters: Inclusion is more than just the acceptance of differences. It builds a sense of belonging by fostering connection and acceptance. But most of all, inclusion ensures individuals are genuinely heard and understood by others. To further our efforts in navigating conversations around inclusivity, we at CommsCredible, are excited to launch our weekly series called '#InclusionMatters'. This series will feature a range of CXOs, Founders, Journalists, and Marcom heads, who will share their unique perspectives on cultivating an inclusive and diverse culture. Join us as we unravel their captivating stories and gain fresh insights by delving into real-life examples. In this week’s blog post, our editor, Neha Mathur had the opportunity to speak with Saloni Surti, Co-Founder of Punctuate Productions, a creative video production house, and learn about her thoughts and experiences regarding inclusivity. What if your company’s CSR could empower communities AND inspire your employees at the same time? Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is more than just ticking a box—it’s about creating meaningful, lasting impact within your community. At Artful-Noons, we’ve collaborated with several companies to integrate art into their CSR initiatives. Why art, you ask? It promotes mental well-being and reduces stress, helping communities heal. Art fosters inclusivity, allowing people of all ages and backgrounds to express themselves. It provides a platform to support local artists and artisans, boosting the local economy. If your company is looking to enhance its CSR efforts while empowering employees and communities through creativity, let’s connect! Together, we can craft an impactful, art-infused initiative. #csrgoals #csrinitiatives #corporateworkshops #artworkshops #corporatetraining
