I had multiple interviews scheduled today. And to my surprise, IPL Match saved my day! The ad brilliantly showcased how a simple change in conversation could reveal so much about a person's true intentions. Well, the day before yesterday while watching IPL, I came across this ad of Shahid Kapoor of Baazi Games which I used in real life to crack a deal. I encountered candidates with almost similar resumes. Both of them were interviewed separately. Same degree and the same grades. It was difficult for me to decide. Both of them seemed appropriate for the role. But only one could be hired. So this time, I put both of them in a scenario where they have to make a decision. I created a scenario where the company is at a loss, the one who stands by the company and helps it recover will be getting the job. I asked both of them separately. One of them stood by the company and the other one wished to quit the company. So clearly the decision was made. IPL AD showed how they have used psychological power to find the solution. In that Ad Sahid Kapoor was the boss and his employee asked for a sick leave showing how sick he was. To test the reality, he at first granted him the leave and suddenly talked about his appraisals to which the employee enthusiastically reacted. This action of his employee made it clear that he wasn't sick and was completely fine. So I got inspired by this ad. #advertisement #hiring #pokerbazzi #poker #collab

According to a recent study by Resume Builder, 31% of managers avoid hiring Gen Z workers, citing reasons such as entitlement and poor communication skills. Naukri aims to change this perception by recognizing the demands of young professionals and positioning itself as the preferred destination for job seekers. To target Gen Z, Naukri is taking a digital approach for IPL 2024, allocating 65% of its ad budget to connected television (C-TV) and 35% to mobile. The company is also targeting specific age groups and mobile handsets on mobile, while buying ad spots without targeting on C-TV. The campaign is demographically targeted towards the top 40-50 cities in India, with vernacular edits for different regions.
