https://lnkd.in/gAvWxU8N In this video, we address a common misconception spread by Islamophobes about women in Islam. We explore the real teachings of the Quran and Hadith, shedding light on the rights and roles of womens.

Islam honors women and preserves their dignity, reputation, and honor. It grants women various rights that ensure their living with dignity. However, there are always ongoing questions about how Islam treats women. Nevertheless, there are some issues that are raised regarding women in Islam, including the concept of "ma malakat aymanukm" as one of them. So if Islam honors and preserves the dignity of women, why was this concept created? Some people are unaware that one  of the way  Islam respects women is by granting special rights to ma malakat aymanukm . During the pre-Islamic era, slave women were deprived of rights and dignity, often forced into prostitution. Islam, however, honored them by establishing rights that save their reputation and honor. Ma malakat aymanukom  have unique rights compared to other Muslim women due to their specific circumstances. If we were to look back at the status of slave women before Islam, we would find that Islam addressed their situation in a way that ensures respect and freedom for them. So That's why I wrote this research based on Quran interpretation books to make people more aware about this concept.🙏

Islam is often perceived as repressive in terms of women's rights. However, it was surprising for me that more women convert to Islam than men. In the UK, the number of female conversions to Islam is twice that of male conversions, and in the US, there are four times as many female converts as there are male converts. The recent ban by the Taliban on Afghan women visiting Band-e-Amir national park in Afghanistan is deeply concerning. This move adds to a series of oppressive measures that have curtailed women's rights in the country since the Taliban's return to power in 2021. This ban, citing women's hijab as a reason, reflects the fundamentalist group's strict interpretation of Islamic dress codes. It's part of a broader crackdown that has seen Afghan women barred from universities, many workplaces, and even restricted in their movement without a male relative present. Such draconian measures have not gone unnoticed. They have sparked international outrage, including from Muslim-majority countries. As Heather Barr, the associate women's rights director at Human Rights Watch, rightly points out, "Step by step the walls are closing in on women as every home becomes a prison." The significance of Band-e-Amir cannot be overstated. It's not just a national park; it represents a piece of Afghanistan's cultural and natural heritage. In this challenging time, it's crucial to stand in solidarity with Afghan women who are bravely resisting these oppressive measures. "Afghan women had little to celebrate on International Women's Day this year. No school. No work. No parks. No travel without a male chaperone. No health care without a female provider. No divorce. No justice." Painful words from Melanne Verveer, Karima Bennoune, Lina Tori Jan in their @washingtonpost op-ed call the Taliban oppression by its proper name: Gender apartheid. As Nobel laureates @narges_mohamadi_51 and @malala Yousafzai have made clear this systematic oppression effectively erases women from society. Economic hardship exacerbates their plight, often leading to forced early marriages and domestic violence. Lack of access to health care means women are dying from childbirth related complications every two hours. The global recognition of the Taliban's authority risks normalizing these egregious abuses, perpetuating a cycle of oppression and silence. It's imperative for the international community to take a stand against any engagement that implicitly condones Taliban oppression. Additionally, there's a pressing need to formally acknowledge and address this systemic discrimination as "gender apartheid." Our partners at the GIWS have highlighted the urgency of this issue in their important article, emphasizing the critical importance of safeguarding the rights of Afghan women.
