Friends, we are facing tumultuous times in our city, our country, and the world. As leaders in the human services sector, these forces add to the already extraordinary weight that so many of you are carrying as you work to bring justice and equity to our communities. And yet there is also the expectation that we "educate," but not weigh in on what is at stake for our communities in the current social, political and economic climate (because we're not supposed to be "political"). All of these pressures contribute to the isolation and difficulties of being an executive.
In my work at #StillRising, I focus on elevating leaders, strengthening organizations and building community. In these times, it is all the more important that leaders have the support, resources and space to breathe, strategize, and lead. That is why I am excited to partner with Community Resource Exchange (CRE) to offer this special series to leaders who want to work to lift each other up as we navigate through the challenges of the upcoming election and beyond. We hope you'll join us as we create this opportunity to enter the needs of executives, discussing skills & tools for managing rapidly changing times, and engaging in some self care and community building. See below for more information and to sign up to join us. I am looking forward to sharing space with you!
#Nonprofit executives: Join our 4-part workshop, Leading with Purpose, Resilience & Community, to help you navigate post-election shifts! Connect with fellow executives, and learn adaptive leadership, resilience, & equity-centered strategies. Plus, we'll feature a session by Dianne Morales – former human services CEO, #CRE Leadership Caucus Alum, 2021 Candidate for NYC Mayor, and founder of #StillRising, LLC.
