I will be attending this FDA and Clinical Trials Transformation Initiative (CTTI) meeting in person, and I can't wait to talk about responsible innovation with innovators and regulators! Nearly all of my career I have worked in highly regulated environments governed by FDA, EMA, et al. With the EU AI act going into force last week, and other regulations in other countries to follow with time, this opens up my world 🌍... industries not familiar with regulated environments will now be subject to regulation and enforcement, depending on their use of AI. Compliance and implementing modern technologies can be daunting, at first, but I am here to tell you that it is possible to be both agile and compliant! I found my work experience to be the primary reason I was in the first wave of IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals #AIGP cohorts. I did study and the exam was tough, but in the end, I believe my experience working in the life sciences regulated industry got me that pass so early on. I believe sound principles of responsible innovation and program/project management stand the test of time, even as the technologies change and advance.
