Headshots is something I cycle around to quite regularly. do a lot of big company headshots where there's 100-200 people getting their headshots done in a short period of time. It's often at conferences where they need to get everybody in with a consistent headshot.
However, it's not that they go out of date. It's that the staff change. In the likes of universities, there's always professors getting upgraded, changed around in departments, and new people coming in.
So they wait until there's enough new starters to justify me coming in for another session to make sure that we're getting consistent pictures across the board. Now, obviously with the new office and studio that we shoot in, we've certainly got enough space to shoot in the office now. That has all changed.
I can now offer individual businesses headshots significantly more easily. They just come to me, take pictures, job's a good'un, which was sometimes tricky in the past with me not having the space and small businesses not necessarily having the space either. This means that they can just come to me and we've got loads of background colour options and styling options with all the lights that we've got in the office.
Now, with these bigger ones, they can now send us individual members of staff and we can fill those gaps. So, say I do 100 shots for a certain department in Northumbria University, which was shot recently, we've already got in place plans for mopping up the extras that couldn't make it.
Now, obviously some of these are remote workers, some of these aren't in the office very often and they weren't at these conferences or they were ill or that sort of stuff. Instead of them having a completely different headshot, they could just come to me and I could replicate that shot in the studio. That's kind of a game changer for my business.
