This is your annual reminder that LGBTQ+ people exist all year, not just in June! That’s why at Fearless Foundry, our commitment to the community doesn’t start or end this month— it’s active 365 days a year. Not only do we hire LGBTQ+ people, we also prioritize LGBTQ+ inclusion in all of our work. This happens in a few different ways: 1. We prioritize underrepresented founders who don’t otherwise have access to our resources, like our Figure 8 community. This means that the group benefits from their genius, and they get to learn and grow alongside others who are are also building their businesses. 2. Most of our give-back clients are LGBTQ+-founded brands. This is because we know these founders are less likely to have access to grants, investments, and other capital that most businesses need to start on solid ground and be successful. 3. As a majority LGBTQ+ company, we are always coaching clients on inclusion— from language and imagery to outreach and marketing strategies, ensuring that their practices don’t just sound inclusive but actually are inclusive. What are you doing to support the LGBTQ+ community this month? Let us know in the comments! #SupportLGBTQ #InclusiveBusiness #LGBTQFounders #YearRoundPride #EqualityInBusiness #LGBTQSupport #DiversityAndInclusion #EmpowerUnderrepresented #LGBTQCommunity #PrideInBusiness #InclusiveCoaching #SupportAllYear #DiverseFounders #LGBTQEntrepreneurs

🌈 It’s June! LGBTQ+ Pride Month. It's also “𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙗𝙤𝙬 𝙘𝙖𝙥𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙢” month for many. Support takes more. Some thoughts and 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀 below on how to support the LGBTQ+ community all year long❗ (https://lnkd.in/grqaEjuF) It’s about more. All year long. Although genuine and tangible support and allyship are needed and appreciated, a brief change to a rainbow logo doesn’t cut it. It is even more important with all the discourse and legislation lately, to show respect for diversity, and tangible and genuine support to the LGBTQ+ community. Building and maintaining a culture where people feel valued, respected, and supported for who they are and how they show up shouldn’t just be a business focus for 30 days a year. 💡 Here are some 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀 to help you support LGBTQ+ inclusion in the workplace: ✔️https://lnkd.in/evvGnccf ✔️https://lnkd.in/ex6Wgk5c ✔️https://lnkd.in/e2ph58EJ ✔️https://lnkd.in/eZrusqkN ✔️https://lnkd.in/eCc4EvR3 ✔️https://lnkd.in/e6a5xrrx 🚧 Creating a workplace culture of inclusivity and acceptance is something companies need to focus on 𝗔𝗟𝗟 year long. Creating and maintaining a workplace culture where people (both employees and customers) feel safe is a non-stop effort. 🕺🏼 Happy, Pride! How are you personally supporting the LGBTQ+ community❓ What actions is your business taking 𝗔𝗟𝗟 year long to support the LGBTQ+ community❓ #lgbtq #lgbtbusiness #diversity #deia #inclusiveworkplace #pride2024 #workplace #culture #business #leadership #gender #keepitreal

Like Christmas and Valentine's Day, Pride has increasingly become a commercialised holiday. 🏳️🌈 From cheap clothing displays to rainbow stickers slapped on products for a price hike, companies are competing for the LGBTQ+ market during Pride, but often missing the mark. 🫣 While it's encouraging to see businesses acknowledging and representing the LGBTQ+ community, campaigns that seem more like cash grabs than thoughtful efforts can sour good intentions. So, how can businesses better support the LGBTQ+ community? 👩❤️💋👩 Educate yourself to help understand what Pride truly represents by listening to stories from the LGBTQ+ community. 👩💻 Offer genuine engagement and support for your LGBTQ+ customers and employees—not just in June, but year-round. Throughout Pride Month, we'll be sharing some of our favourite resources to help you explore how to enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion in your business every day. 🙋♀️ To get started, check out “The Rainbow Profits: Pride, Performative Allyship, and Women in CX” by our Head of Operations, Meg Coates. https://lnkd.in/erW_xnne #Pride #LGBTQ+ #Allyship #PerformativeAllyship #DEI #DiversityEquityInclusion

🌈 Embracing Diversity: Should a company post a rainbow version of their logo? 🌈 As Pride Month kicks off, so do the rainbow version of logos. While this gesture can symbolize solidarity and support for the LGBTQ+ community, it's essential to ensure that such actions are more than just a fleeting display. Here’s why: 1- Authenticity Matters: Support should be genuine. Without substantive actions and policies, a rainbow logo risks being perceived as mere "rainbow-washing." 2- Internal Policies Count: Inclusive policies and a supportive work environment are crucial. Anti-discrimination policies, support networks, and training programs should be in place and actively maintained. 3- Support the Community: Engage with and support LGBTQ+ organizations and initiatives. Financial contributions, partnerships, and active involvement in community events reflect a deeper commitment. 4- Year-Round Consistency: Support for the LGBTQ+ community shouldn't be confined to Pride Month. Demonstrating a year-round commitment to diversity and inclusion is key. 5- Listen and Learn: Seek input from LGBTQ+ employees and communities to ensure that actions are respectful and impactful. Changing your logo to a rainbow for Pride Month can be a positive step, but let it be part of a broader, genuine commitment to supporting and celebrating the LGBTQ+ community. Let's make support meaningful and lasting! #PrideMonth #DiversityAndInclusion #LGBTQSupport #CorporateResponsibility #sustainabledevelopment

Happy Pride Month! Wanted to share this insightful article from Lily Zheng about what true commitment to the LGBTQ+ community looks like, as it moves far beyond hashtags and rainbow logos (both of which can be good). She goes on to say that “Designing successful initiatives in this vein requires deep collaboration with constituents both inside and outside the LGBTQ+ community to ensure that the initiative creates value for the target community, to align it with the organization’s purpose and identity, and to test if it will land in the intended way with audiences. The more constituents can drive and inform this process — whether through advisory boards, focus groups, or other participatory methods — the more likely that the initiatives will successfully meet an unmet need, create value, and resonate.” (via Harvard Business Review) https://lnkd.in/gCeBr5Si #pridemonth #happypride #diversityequityinclusion

"Pride" in Pride Month is all about celebrating the LGBTQ+ community’s confidence, dignity, and visibility. "Pride" at work celebrates our rainbow of identities, boosting morale and encouraging participation in inclusive festivities. It's a sassy rejection of shame, declaring "We're here, we're queer, get over it!" During Pride Month, it's like donning a rainbow superhero cape, each color representing courage and love. It's a month-long glitter fest, where everyone shines unapologetically. 🌈 - Rainbow Celebration: Honors diversity, boosting morale. - Inclusive Environment: Fosters acceptance for LGBTQ+ employees. - Stigma Fighting: Opposes discrimination and bias. - Visibility Building: Raises LGBTQ+ awareness. - Empowerment: Supports authentic selves. - Positive Culture: Fosters support and upliftment. - Active Participation: Encourages engagement in Pride Month. #Ihopeithelps #inclusive #diversity #pridemonth #pride #culturalvalues #organisationalvalue #empowerment #positiveculture #opportunities #equality #equalopportunity

There is one thing I often see missing from Pride Month programming that is part of other communities' months of awareness and celebrations: The ways in which LGBTQ+ have shaped and made the world better for all of us. Of course, it's important to find moments of joy and celebration, as well as a time to raise awareness of ongoing issues (515 anti-LGBT bills in 2024). It is also important for people to see themselves represented, and understand how people like them, people from their community, have contributed to everyone having a better experience in this world. There is an undeniable link between our self-esteem and knowing our history, our value, our power. So I share with you today three LGBTQ+ people who helped us: - defeat the Nazis in World War II - draft the Economic Bill of Rights with Franklin D. Roosevelt - establish a model for social welfare It is important for both LGBTQ+ people and allies alike, to inform themselves of the value, contributions, and excellence of our community. For LGBTQ+ folks to see their footprint in this world, and for allies to be appreciative of the benefits. If you are looking for an engaging speaker and educator for your organization or company's Pride Month festivities, I am currently booking speaking engagements (virtual or in-person in NYC). My approach is a mix of history, culture, and actionable steps we can all take in the workplace to help LGBTQ+ feel seen and supported. Do you know these LGBTQ+ historical figures? Are there other figures you highlight during Pride Month? 📧 Schedule a brainstorm call with me through calendly, no charge! :) - https://lnkd.in/dgW6NAJk #pridemonth #lgbthistory #lgbtfigures #pride #lgbtexcellence

Today, we honor National Coming Out Day—a day to celebrate the courage of LGBTQ+ individuals and affirm their right to live openly, without fear of discrimination. While nearly 4.5% of adults identify as LGBTQ+, many still face unique challenges, from bullying to systemic bias. We also recognize that not everyone is ready or able to come out, and we want to emphasize that you are valid, seen, and valued no matter where you are in your journey. Coming out is a deeply personal experience, and creating inclusive spaces where everyone feels safe is vital. As allies, we can make a difference by actively listening, speaking up against discrimination, and learning about LGBTQ+ history to better foster empathy and understanding. Let’s celebrate diversity by sharing stories of courage and support, uplifting those who are coming out—and those who aren’t—within our communities. Join the conversation by using #NationalComingOutDay and #LGBTQAlly, and let’s build a world where everyone is celebrated for their true, authentic selves! #CHANGEmaker #Leadership #Empowerment #DEI #SocialJustice #Equity #Diversity #Inclusion
