🔧 Personal Project: Creating a REST API in Different Programming Languages 🚀 As part of my professional development, I set myself a challenging and educational personal project: to create a basic REST API using three different programming languages. The idea was to compare ease of use, speed, scalability, and other key functionalities. The three projects are available on my LinkedIn and I created them using: Node.js with TypeScript: https://lnkd.in/es2UeTgQ .NET: https://lnkd.in/eQQWB8Rj Rust: https://lnkd.in/eU7h2hhP Each implementation includes: - Input parameter validator (middleware) - Error handler - SOLID principles and clean code methodologies - Service-Repository design pattern with Controllers - Integration with Swagger to document and test the REST API Conclusions: - Ease of use: The easiest and quickest to set up was .NET. - Speed: The fastest was undoubtedly Rust. - Fun: I really enjoyed working with Node.js due to its flexibility and rich ecosystem. - Challenge: The most challenging for me was Rust because of its learning curve and unique features. These three projects not only allowed me to deepen my knowledge of each language, but they also proved to be solid foundations for larger developments, adaptable to various needs. 💡 If you are interested in the technical details or want to discuss these projects further, feel free to contact me. I'm always open to learning and sharing knowledge! 🔮 Future projects: I plan to implement this REST API in Python and C++ to continue expanding my experience and knowledge. #programming #APIDevelopment #NodeJS #dotNET #Rust #Python #C++ #softwareengineering #SOLID #CleanCode #Swagger #LearningByDoing
