IACS was delighted to participate in the 6th meeting of IQARB (Independent Quality Assessment Review Body) as part of our ongoing commitment to quality operations. All twelve IACS members received Factual Statements from IQARB confirming that each society had implemented an effective quality management system (QMS).     The IMO Member State Audit Scheme, adoption of the III Code and the Code for Recognized Organizations, demonstrates clearly the critical importance the wider shipping industry attributes to Quality Management in realising high standards for safety, pollution prevention and operational aspects of shipping. IQARB is a powerful initiative to advance those objectives.
